There is a contribution up for voting that adds "The Complete Series" as Edition for Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

I am a bit surprised to see that everyone (10 so far) vote Yes to this. I thought that TV series info of that kind was supposed to go into the Title field. At least that's what I see for some 200 titles in my collection. Am I mistaken?

You would be correct. It should go in the title field.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

I just voted no in support of The Movieman. Because it should be in the title field.

Agreed as well: season indicators should be put into the "Title" field, not the "Edition" field.

Yes, this is the first I've heard of anything related to season/series going in the edition field instead of the title field. Ease of search alone makes that important. I know Kolchak only lasted one season, but imagine you had a secondhand copy with the UPC/EAN removed of something that lasted a dozen seasons and had been repackaged on DVD a number of times, and you couldn't type in the title search field that it was for a complete series or a specific season. That would be a lot to scroll through.

It doesn't surprise me given, based on my observations, that most just blindly vote yes.  There are some that even vote on releases titles they don't even own, so they can't confirm, since the system allows you to vote by simply throwing titles you're interested in into your wishlist.
