| | Posted: | | | | I had this and couldn't seem to get rid of it either! I tried about 6 different removal programs!
In the end I had to go back a couple of restore points and this did the trick... caused no end of registry issues but at least the pop ups stopped.

In "Systemstart" check for red marked entries and disable them. If you click on the arrows on the right side of the center window you'll get information about the entries in your startup list. | | Posted: | | | | Try booting into Safe Mode and then scanning. That'll catch all but the meanest SOB's. If you have a mean SOB, it's almost best to simply reformat. You can check by trying a system restore, if you can't, it's a mean SOB.
A lot of AV programs that you purchase in a store has a CD that you can boot from and then scan - it's the only way to be sure you prevent any programs from starting up and hiding themselves from scans. |
