DpOscars 2.1.1

Just two cosmetic fixes:

- Clicking the Statistics tab made the program appear to hang for a few seconds. This was because WPF doesn't try to populate the tab before it is selected. Not a big deal, but I found a way around that.

- I never liked the way that the categories were cased. I wanted the Associated Press style of title case, but it was so darn complicated that I never attempted it. BUT ... I asked ChatGPT to create a function for that. It took a few tries with different prompts, but in the end I got something that seems to work. So I applied it to the category names, and for good measure to the movie names as well. It doesn't change the function of the program, but it looks better.

Yes, I’ve used Construction Takeoff Services too—huge time-saver and definitely helped keep my project costs on track. Highly recommend!

General DiscussionNew posts in this threadWhy won’t they sell DVD profiler to someone who wants to take care of it?

why just implement a paid subscription service? (monthly, yearly, etc.). I would gladly pay a small monthly fee to keep the tool updated. The subscription model is pretty much a de facto business standard today. You can't even buy products like MS365 or any streaming service without an ongoing fee. Why not do this to gain a consistent source of revenue to pay for the servers, maintenance, etc.?

If people are not willing to pay for ongoing support, then they won't get any updates.

Just a thought.

Valid questions I guess most of us have wondered about. It makes me think there is the possibility of a legal issue. There might be some options that are simply precluded by some sort of judgement, court action or contract, including perhaps a gag order preventing the parties from talking about it. We just don't know.
