| Posted: | | | | I'm asking this out of pure curiousity, having just purchased El Orfanato (The Orphanage) 2 disc Limited Edition Steelbook with slip cover and exclusive art book from Spain for £29.95 ($58.78 / €37.71), £36.95 ($72.50 / €46.53) inc. postage. This is probably the most I've ever paid for a single film, but as a collector, I think it's worth it! | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM |

| Posted: | | | | That depends. I believe I've never paid more than 20€ for any movie DVD.
But I've paid 85€ per Star Trek TNG / DS9 season and 250€ for the Xena Complete Box (6 seasons). | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Since both of you listed packs that contain multiple DVDs, for me it is "Alien VS. Predator: The Ultimate Showdown DVD Collector's Set" @ $118.48. As for a single title it would be The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Collectors DVD Gift Set $59.99. |

| Posted: | | | | Series Set: Akte X (X-Files): Season 8 --- 119€ (Dezember 2004) The initial digipak-release in germany was quite rare and after having bought Season 1-7+9 as digipaks I couldn't stand the thought of having Season 8 as amaray-keepcase. So I checked every website I knew and drove to every shop in a 30km-radius until I found one last box. Surprisingly my wife was quite understanding. No "are you crazy?"-talk most people around here would have heard. Movie: Der Nebel (The Mist): 3-Disc Limited Collector's Edition --- 29,99€ (today) | | | Last edited: by SpaceFreakMicha |

| Posted: | | | | Paid 900 SEK for a second hand Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, because it was OOP and I had to have it. That's about $150 but then the Bush dollar is next to worthless these days... | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | I paid over $100 AUD for my secondhand copy of The Best Of the Wonder Years. The most Ive paid for a boxset, is my Will and Grace boxset which I bought a couple of years ago in Harrods and then shipped it back to Australia, that including the shipping cost me well over $600 AUD.
I also paid quite a bit for my Snow White and the Seven Dwarves movie, but I cant remember exactly how much that was. | | | Last edited: by jadedoz2007 |

| Posted: | | | | Some may say I'm a bit crazy, but I spent somewhere in the low 6 figures for an extremely rare print of La Fin Absolue du Monde. It's a one of a kind film and few have seen it.
I have open screenings in my home theatre to all who wish to view it. However, it is likely that the others who listed films came with more than just the film. If this is not the case let me know and I will audit my picks. |

| Posted: | | | | For a new dvd about 150$ for Blood, The Last Vampire Collector's Box Japan many years ago... for a used DVD I paid more than 100$ for Army of Darkness. Nowadays I don't like paying more than 10$ for a new dvd and just consider paying more for a Blu-ray (but I refuse to pay 75$ for a new anime BD like Wolf Brigade...what a rip-off!!). |

| Posted: | | | | Umm, back when I used to buy stuff on release, instead of waiting, because I didn't have so many DVDs waiting to be watched I spent £66.99 on season 1 of Star Trek: Next Gen. Even more mad to me is £31.73 for a half-season of Xena:WP when full price was £34.99! Latter seasons I didn't pay much more than a tenner... I spent 53.58 euros for a set of Fistful of Dollars/Few Dollars More in a wooden box with some goodies as a present for my wife but that was worth it as they are the best versions of the movies too. I think my Doctor Who sets cost more but they were presents so I didn't pay out for them | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Single movie: Evil Dead: The Book of the Dead edition - 59.25€ (92$ at the current rate), but this was back in 2002 when DVD's where much more expensive, and it was in a shop who imported US releases, so all taxes were included.
TV Series: Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season Two - 139€ (216$ at the current rate). This was a UK import bought (in the same shop as Evil Dead) in 2001. For that price, you can now purchase the complete series I believe.
I'm so happy those prices are gone now. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm
