| Posted: | | | | The Titanic International Society says Millvina Dean, the last survivor of the sinking of the Titanic, has died. The society's president, Charles Haas, tells The Associated Press that Dean died Sunday at age 97. He said she was suffering from pneumonia and her companion, Bruno Nordmanis, had called the Swiss branch of the society to say she had passed away. Dean was just over two months old when the Titanic hit an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912, sinking less than three hours later. She was cared for at a nursing home in southern England. A staff nurse said no one could comment until administrators came on duty Monday. "Titanic" stars Leonardo diCaprio and Kate Winslet donated money this month to help pay Dean's nursing home fees. | Posted: | | | | By chance I have heard about this today. It is a big coincidence as I have just started my Titanic movie marathon today. I even saw her in the documentary I watched today, which was included on my 1953's Titanic release. | | |

I've always found the story of the Titanic quite interesting. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | @ TomGaines: It seems the film "La Femme de Chambre du Titanic" is not part of your list yet. Might be worthwile to take a look at, it's quite good. |

Looks interesting. I see, that there is only a Hong Kong DVD release. As I see, you own it. How is the quality of the release?

| Posted: | | | | It's not too bad - just don't expect any fancy features. Still should do the profile for it and submit... Ah, still so much work to do... Seems there's a Spanish release as well. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

I would appreciate it if there is a cover scan in the database when it arrives I am more than willing to do the rest including cast and crew (as far as my knowledge with French crew roles go).

| Posted: | | | | Last time I watched Titanic I spent the following day wandering around Southampton looking for all the memorials (such as the plaque in the post office) culminating in a visit to the docks and museum.
....at least there was something good about living in Southampton. |

I have submitted a profile for the Hong Kong release after doing a full audit just now. Should under normal circumstances be available tomorrow. The EAN is 4895033744122. P.S. My French is nowhere near perfect, but will suffice to correctly identify crew roles... | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | My contribution was approved, but unfortunately there seems to be a delay in the release of contributions right now. So I can't tell you when it will be available to download. EDIT: the issue has now been sorted. The profile is now available for download. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |
