I will be attempting to go without horror starting on July 1st... until October 1st when I will be starting my Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon. If I can make it that would be 92 days horror free! 3 full months without watching horror movies or horror TV Shows.

Before last year's marathon I went 66 Days without any horror. This is almost a full month longer then I went last year. But last year I also watched...

- 100 Horror Movies
- 45 Horror/Halloween TV Episodes
- 2 Horror/Halloween Shorts

... during my marathon. If I am to beat those numbers this year I will really need to be in the mood to watch some horror when Oct. 1st gets here! So what do you all think? Knowing my love of horror... can I make it 3 full months without watching any horror?

92 days with no Horror? No way! I doubt that I could last a full week.

Like I said... last year I went 66 days (almost killed me!). But if I want to be able to beat last year's totals I need to be aching to watch some horror! 3 full months of abstaining I will be aching to watch some!

That's ok... I'm not 100% sure I can do it myself. Voting is staying neck to neck though.... as of right now tied 3 to 3. Kinda surprised.

It will take a certain level of discipline to achieve this. A good distraction could help -- perhaps a simple substitute for horror genre films... might I suggest romantic comedies? Especially those featuring Hugh Grant?

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

You watched all that in a month?!?

Respect, i should take a month off as well and go crazy, but even than it's an awful lot. Also i never take of that long. Plus i also need to play games and watch football (or soccer, for my American friends  )

Paul

Edit: BTW: i really don't know if you can last that long, but you never achieve anytying without ambition. Just find another genre to enjoy and go crazy on those movies and you might make it. Succes

wow... can't believe how close the poll is running. I put similar one up last year on another site and it showed that pretty much everyone thought there was no way I could make it.

As much as I absolutely love my horror genre... once I set my mind to something I usually can do it. But I never tried to go 3 whole months before!

Gee... wonder how you voted?

Well if I do fail it won't be because I didn't give it my all... that is for sure. But I have 3 days leftto fit in some horror... so guess what I will be watching some of for the next few days!
