| Posted: | | | | When I saw that on TV last week the topic of conversation went something like: "Can you say PhotoShop?" It looks to me like the squirrel is in much sharper focus than the rocks he's supposed to be standing on.
Cute picture, never-the-less. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 | | | Last edited: by kdh1949 |

| Posted: | | | | The rocks are behind the squirrel - and thus would be out-of-focus if the squirrel is pretty close to the camera. Also, there's no indication that he is actually standing on those rocks, just the optical illusion that he is. |

| Posted: | | | | They were on the Today Show either on Monday or last Friday and they showed the pics before the squirrel popped up, which shows the couple in focus. You can probably find the video on MSNBC.com. I don't think it's photoshop, since the squirrel is in focus, which would happen if the camera is set on automatic. I also think that the rocks are also behind the squirrel at much more of a distance, which is why they are somewhat out of focus. | | | We're on a mission from God.

| Posted: | | | | What I find suspicious is that the squirrel is pretty well centered in the photo, while the people are conveniently off to the side in the background. One would think they would set the camera so they themselves were in the center. |

| Posted: | | | | not everyone centers the people in the photograph. I know I don't always center the person/people. Sometimes it's nice to get some scenery in the picture behind the people

| Posted: | | | | When taking shots like that I invariably put the people somewhat off-center. I think it makes them blend in with the environment more that way. |

-Agrare It would be especially tough to center people -- at least both of them -- using a camera with a timer, so the fact that the couple is slightly off center doesn't bother me. The only thing that make me somewhat suspicious (besides being naturally so) is the way the whole picture was so well framed. On the other hand, I guess if the squirrel would be curious about the camera he'd be centered right in front of the frame. I'm mostly convinced it's not PhotoShopped, though. I'm just passing along for consideration the comment I heard when I saw it over the weekend. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges.
