Hi Stephan,

What's so "incredible" about it? 3D?

BTW: you left out the option "Not at all"...

I am definitely going to see it in the theatre, but somehow the trailer didn't impress me at all. So I don't expect much of it.

I'll be seeing it in theaters to experience the 3D. Supposedly it's the best ever implementation of that, and if it's going to usher in an era of big-budget 3D extravaganzas, I want to have experienced "history" the proper way.

I'll wait for the DVD if I see it at all. I like Cameron's films, but this one is doing nothing for me at all.

If it weren't 3 hours plus, I would probably go.

But a long, long, long film that's basically a protracted series of Roger Dean portraits just doesn't do it for me.

That is, unless I can find some magic mushrooms, this would be a Hell of a trip on shrooms.

I don't know where I read it, but somewhere it said 3 hours plus, but after looking on IMDB, your right.

But it's still too long.

I'll probably wait until Blu-ray. I know it's supposed to change cinema and all, but the story doesn't sound very interesting. If I have the time and inclination later, I may go but as of now, nope.

Don't forget.. Cameron is a bit like Lucas  and doesn't release his titles until years later ..
such as Titanic Dec 1997 didn't see DVD until  2004 ..

Huh? I had the original DVD of Titanic and it was released in 1999 (and IIRC, DVDs began coming into the marketplace around 1998). See this. The one you linked was no doubt a re-printing of the same disc.

BTW, looking at some stats, Titanic was in theaters for 10 months and ended its run in Oct of 1998. Astounding. I cannot see any movie ever doing that again.
