Both look decent but, still.... Hollywood has been out of new ideas since the first couple movies. I'm in the minority where remakes don't bother me in the slightest. Would I rather there not be remakes? Sure, but I couldn't care less there are. The reason I don't mind remakes is that there have been a lot of great movies because of them: House of Wax (1953)The Texas Chainsaw MasacreThe Thing (debatable as it was a short story first) Ocean's 11The FlyWillardAnd a ton more than I"m not thinking of. With remakes it's all or nothing. Sadly, you can't pick or chose the remakes you want. That's okay with me, though. That's okay with me, though. If 99% of them suck, but 1% ends up being a pretty amazing movie, I'm fine with those odds. I don't mind remakes if they can improve significantly on the original. So I'm ok with The Thing, Ocean's 11 and The Fly. Not sure about Willard, and I definitely didn't see any reason to remake Chainsaw Massacre. And by the way, The Fly was a short story first, too. Published in Playboy, if memory serves me right. But that was a few years before I started to read Playboy...  | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.
