| Posted: | | | | They are toning down storylines so Marvel will be geared more towards kids. Oneof the first things they are doing is bringing Captain America back to life and making him and Iron Man friends again. I am really going to miss the days of Marvel Civil War. Iwonder how they will deal with the Punisher and Wolvierine. Of course they say the this plan was in action two years before Disney took over, which I think is total bull shiitake mushroom. Look for this to reflect in future movies when all of the licence agreements run out and disney takes over. First the WWE and now Marvel. |

| Posted: | | | | I prefer DC Comics, and only read some stand-alone Marvel stories sporadically. But of course they're bringing Captain America back to life. Every major character has been brought back to life, one way or another. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | I actually like the move. When I was a kid, I had trouble reading. My teacher told my mom to buy me Marvel and DC comics because they were attractive to kids, but written at a college level. I stopped reading them when I got older as I did not like the dark turn they had taken. As the writer says, "Now we got heroes that have powers but have ceased to be actual heroes." I want my heroes to be heroes and my villains to be villains. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | After reading the article I'd have to say this post seems loosely based on the contents of the article and seems to be a gloom. to quote myself from the disney aquires marvel thread Quoting Agrare: Quote: Quoting Unicus69:

because people are reactionary doomsayers
-Agrare so basically Marvel announces changes and it's instantly because of Disney and the change will automatically be for the worse. -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | Marvel was already doing a fine job of destroying itself (see One More Day, the Ultimates line, etc). I don't see why we should think this is Disney's fault. |

| Posted: | | | | Im sory but anybody who thinhks that this is a good move, does not know comics, Marvel has been this way for a long time Disney did not save marvel, Marvel was the top selling comic company for ages. That why they paid $4,000,000,000.00. Thats right four-billion dollars. Marvel must have been doing something right. I guess some people would rather see Donald Duck saving spiderman and characters acting like the superfriends. |

Whether or not you think it is a good move depends on your taste. Clearly your taste is different, but that doesn't make it correct, just different. Marvel lost me as a reader when they went dark...as did DC. Now that they are going back to their roots, who knows, I may start reading them again. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I don't mean to insult anyone, but Marvel has had a great formula for a long time. There characters are more like real people. There are certain characters that will simply never fit into this mold like The Punisher, Wolvrine, and The X-Men. |
