| Posted: | | | | After the new movie came out I was taken away with Star Trek. I bought every serie and movie. Prior to that I had only seen a few epiodes here and there. I started by wtaching all the Enterprises, than a season of each in order. So far I have seen all the Enterprises, Deep Space Nines, Voyagers (3 epiodes left), 2 seasons of the origional, 1 season of TNG and the new movie. I still need to watch the 10 other movies, 1 season of the origional, all of the animated erise and 6 seasons of TNG. I think I am a minority of one on this but I prfefer the later serie to the first two. That clould be do to seeing less episodes of them, but I was not a taken away with them, when I was sampling seasons as I was the later three. The later three seem to have much more character development, interpersonal relationhips and conflict with in the crew. What do you think? I love the serial tyle of Deep Space Nine and even more so with Voyager. This is the order of the serise in quality, in my opinion. 1-Deep Space Nine 2-Enterprise 3-Voyager 4-TNG 5-Origional 6-Animated (does not really count because I have not seen it yet
I will wait until I have seen all the movie and give an opinion on them. Maybe I will change my mind when I have seen more of the other serise. Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. |

| Posted: | | | | I actually agree with the order you have put them in.
I would say though, that once you've watch the whole of TNG you may change your mind. I felt the first season of TNG was pretty awful (and still do); but after that it seemed to get better and better. Every single episode with The Borg in is excellent! Also make sure you watch the whole of TNG series before you watch the films that followed. |

| Posted: | | | | 1. TOS (you had to be there, and after all, none of the rest would have happened) 2. TNG (I agree that the 1st season was not well done, and I never liked Riker) 3. DS9 4. Voyager 5. Enterprise I have the animated series, but haven't watched it yet. Somehow, I find it hard to belive that it will measure up to the live action series, but I'm willing to be proven wrong. I guess that would be in the order of their release! | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | As for the movies, I'd rank them thus:
1. ST2: The Wrath of Kahn 2. ST4: The Voyage Home 3. First Contact 4. Star Trek (2009) 5. ST6: The Undiscovered Country 6. Generations 7. Nemesis 8. Insurrection 9. ST3: The Search for Spock 10: ST5: The Final Frontier 11. Star Trek: The Motion Picture
I'm surprised that they made any more movies after the horrible job they did on the very first one (other than Lt. Ilia) | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | I absolutely loved Enterprise. DS9 is a close second and the seasons 5 & 6 of Voyager had some very well written episodes.
I really couldn't get into TNG until the later seasons, too clean-cut-aimed-for-kids for me. |

| Posted: | | | | 1. TOS - nothing will ever touch it - my favorite show of all time 2. DS9 - loved Garak! disagreed with where the writers took Dukat during/after Season 5... and DS9 is undoubtedly a better show than TOS, but I love the original 3. TNG - have to agree about the 1st season & never really liked Riker either 4. TAS - hey, I like the animated series! 5. Voyager - very hit and miss, IMO, never clicked with the characters, and disagreed with where they went with Q - might be better than I think, as I watched it only intermittently 6. Enterprise - maybe it got better, I was turned off completely by the 1st episode
1. Voyage Home (my personal favorite) 2. Search for Spock 3. Wrath of Khan (actually probably the best made) 4. First Contact 5. Undiscovered Country 6. Insurrection 7. The Motion Picture 8. Generations 9. Nemesis 10. Final Frontier
Haven't watched the new one, so I won't comment on it. I'm still on the fence about it, being the big fan of the original series that I am, I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about seeing someone other than the original actors in those roles. I'm sure I'll watch it eventually, I mean I have a copy and all...
EDIT: On reflection, I ranked The Motion Picture too low. Honestly, I like all of them and think they're all good except Final Frontier, which is a bad movie. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

| Posted: | | | | 1. Voyager - I just liked it. Tuvix is one of my favorite Trek episodes. 2. DS9 - Liked Sisko, Worf, Jadzia Dax and the Ferengi. Trials and Tribulations...another favorite episode. 3. TNG - The Inner Light and Lower Decks were outstanding. The Borg and Klingon stories were favorites as well. 4. Enterprise - Would be higher, but it didn't hit its stride until the final season. Needed a few more seasons. 5. TOS - While I watched it every time it was on, I never really got into it. 6. TAS - Never liked it.
01. Voyage Home - My favorite Trek film. 02. Wrath of Khan - Best Trek movie ever made...best 'death bed' speech ever. 03. First Contact 04. Insurrection 05. Search for Spock 06. Star Trek 07. Undiscovered Country 08. The Motion Picture - Loved the idea of VGer, but it was a SLOW movie. 09. Generations 10. Nemesis 11. Final Frontier | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | 1. TNG - I remember calling Gerri (working at the time at a local grocery store) and telling her she was missing the best episode of all time (The Best of Both Worlds pt.1) - I taped it for her. Also: Picard. 'Nuff said. 2. TOS - They hold up remarkably well and have some of the best character acting. 3. Voyager - I never did get over how a ship supposedly barreling straight home ends up meeting the same aliens over and over. 4. Enterprise - Never got into this one, but thanks to HDNET we now watch 30 minutes a day while we exercise. Currently on the Xindi episodes, so this may move up. 5. DS9 - To be honest I've never given this one a chance. Many of my trekkie friends swore by it but at the time I was working too many hours to watch more than a couple episodes. 6. TAS - Haven't seen any of it yet.
01. Voyage Home 02. Wrath of Khan 03. Star Trek (2009) 04. First Contact .. .. 11. Final Frontier. My elder daughter's Latin teacher lists this as his favorite Star Trek film. Maybe he was pulling her leg? | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Why? Janeway ruthlessly killed a sentient, intelligent being without thinking about it - just to save two cremembers who weren't really dead - they lived on in Tuvix. That's a pretty simplistic synopsis of the episode and, if memory serves, not quite accurate. As I recall, she did think about it and it wasn't an easy decision. I can't imagine having to make it...glad the writers did. In addition, it is one of the few episodes that I had an emotional connection with. I liked Tuvix and felt for him at the end. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
