I just ordered the Hary Potter Blu Ray Hogwarts Castle and it appears that my order went through.  I got a confirmation E-mail that converted the currency to US dollars.  The thing is my friend told me they do not ship to North America.

If the order went through, there should be no problem.

Only selected items can be shipped to the US, though. See detailed terms of delivery here.

They definitely ship to the US, I've used them before with no problem. The only problem is that the shipping costs are excessive if you're only ordering like one item.

And if you don't understand German, they have an English help section for customers.

The problem is that most of the time when we order more than one item we reach the amount for paying the custom taxes. At least here since our limit is, and I really mean it, ridiculous at 20 $CAN. So we have the choice between paying more shipping or more taxes and in those case I choose the lesser of two evils and pay the shipping.

I order from them all the time. Usually get my stuff within 10 days. Once my package got lost and they send a replacement very quick. Shipping is expensive if you only order one item but you save the VATand if you order 3 or more items the shipping is ok.

Totally agree. And don't forget the delays in customs, which can be up to a month. In return for that favour they add a handling fee on the taxes, that is usually bigger than the taxes themselves. I now tend to order DVDs (from the US in my case) one by one. And order from the UK or Germany when possible.

We have to say that Jericko1 seems to be located in the US and we don't have to pay any custom fees or taxes when we import from Germany (There might be a limit on what you can import but it must be pretty high because I have ordered for hundreds of $$$ and was never bothered by US customs. We are supposed to declare any goods that we bought online on our tax return and pay taxes for them that way. Unless we were charged taxes from the internet store. You have to ask around and check how many people do that. Packages from all Australia, Germany, England, Hong Kong and Japan usually made it in about 10 days to my doorstep.

Do I need to say that I would like it if our governments would trust us like that... But maybe they know better than that

Check if they charged you the German sales tax (19 %), you might get that back for permanently exporting the product outside of the EU.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

What did it end up costing you...in US$?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Depending on the charge of sales tax, it's either 160.45 (with) or 134.84 (without)
