| Posted: | | | | Hi,
When Amazon had the clearance sale I took advantage of it even though I had approximately 60 of the titles already. I checked to see if any of the duplicates were anamorphic where those in my collection were not. I don't recall finding any. I decided to watch "12 Angry Men" from the UA Collection and noticed it was 4X3 WS. I didn't recall this. Sure enough Profiler showed that my original title was indeed anamorphic. I dug out my original and it was. It never occurred to me that a non-anamorphic version would be included in the collection when an anamorphic version was available. I haven't checked the rest yet.
Be warned, Jim |

| Posted: | | | | I don't have the set either but looking over the titles I see there is a few titles that run part one on one disc to Part 2 on another disc.. ( in order to cut down the number of discs used..) but the fact comes into play that these should not be left over 4x3 versions.. and I'm surprised they are all not anamorphic releases though as most if not all of these titles have been treated to the enhanced 16x9 letterbox .. Keep us in the loop and post any new discoveries here for us to view... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Update: I went through the entire collection and this is the situation. Per Terry's concern; all features were complete on a single side of a disc. Several of my anamorphic titles were replaced by those that claimed to have been newly restored. I simply took their word for this. Several titles were replaced by those with "bonus" discs. I created a Tag which I called "UAMalform" which I attached to any titles that were either P&S or 4X3WS. I'll consider replacing these with 16X9 versions. Here's a listing of those titles in roughly the same order as in the UA binder: Quote: The Barefoot Contessa The Night of the Hunter Dance With Me, Henry Moby Dick Witness for the Prosecution The Defiant Ones I Want to Live! The Fugitive Kind A Hole in the Head Elmer Gantry Inherit the Wind Judgment at Nuremberg The Misfits Pocketful of Miracles Birdman of Alcatraz The Miracle Worker I Could Go on Singing The Pink Panther Topkapi Yours, Mine and Ours The Wilby Conspiracy Annie Hall Equus La Cage Aux Folles Heaven's Gate The Secret of NIMH WarGames Baby Boom Child's Play Hope this helps, Jim |

I don't know where Amazon gets their data but when multiple discs were involved the Dvd Profiler "Disc Info" was correct. I was pretty groggy at times, going through the discs, but I specifically checked this.
I'll be a bit more skeptical about Amazon's claims.
Thanks for the heads up, Jim |

| Posted: | | | | Hey Terry,
90 Titles 110 Discs
In the listing you provided where multiple discs are shown with the same title, Disc 1 is the feature and Disc 2 are (is? I guess it depends on what "is" means) the extras. There may have been a case where Disc 1 was the WS and 2 the P&S. Don't recall for sure.

| Posted: | | | | I'm still confused ... we all agree on the 90 titles.. But the 110 discs to me show tha ttitles are split up up . ( as example: ) Disc 58: The Battle of Britain WS Disc 1 ( then continued) onto Disc 59: The Battle of Britain WS Disc 2 ( part 2 ? ) ... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Hi again,
You chose a good example. Check the back cover in Profiler and you'll see that Disc 1 is the feature and Disc 2 contains the extras. This was universally the case. |

| Posted: | | | | The back cover is not a very good scan but I'll take your word for it.. So you mean to tell me that out of these 90 titles that 20 plus titles all have disc two as supplementary bonus materials?? That would make this collection a very good deal . and Do the Bond movies all have double audio commentarys as well ?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Hi again,
Just referring to the info in Profiler it looks as though "The Living Daylights" is the only title with dual commentaries.
I have tags for "UA" and "James Bond" but I discovered that I had neglected to set the "James Bond" tag for the titles which were new to me, so it took a while to find what I was looking for. That's taken care of now.
I'm pretty sure that when Amazon decided not to carry the collection they essentially gave their remaining stock away, charging only for shipping. It was an unbelievable deal. I took some pictures of it to show my cousin and emailed them to him. If you'd like I could PM them to you. Let me know. I've never used the PM feature before but I assume it's just like email.
