My Alphabet Marathon
Over at the other forum (DVD Collectors Online) a bunch of us decided to do an Alphabet Marathon for the month of July. This means I will be reviewing 1 movie from my collection for every letter in the alphabet. Starting with 1 review that starts with a number. That is 27 movies within 31 days.

So because of this I will not be doing any Weekend Movie Marathons until I am done with this challenge. So I will be posting all my marathons in this thread for a while.

Since "28 Days" would kill your horror-abstinence it should be omitted. Transmit it to your Halloween-Marathon list instead.

"12 Monkeys" is a Must, if you haven't watched it already do so.
"50 First Dates" is one of the four Adam Sandler movies that are watcheable.
"13 going on 30" is "Big" for women.

So I'd go for "12 Monkeys" as startup (Pitt and Willis did an amazing job here)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You're correct! It's late here (Midnight) so please excuse my fault.

Watched 28 Days some time ago on TV, actually liked it.

EDIT: But I'd still go for 12 Monkeys as startup

Oooh, I like this Alphabet idea.  I think I'll steal it after I finish watching all my Sherlock Holmes films.

Four????  Surely you're exaggerating?

1. Anger Management (admitted: that's more in spite of Mr. Sandler, then because of)
2. 50 First Dates
3. Mr. Deeds
4. Reign Over Me
The rest is for the garbage bin.

And now back on topic
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Alphabet Marathon is a nice idea and I will be happily reading it.

Since I'm watching Gesetz der Rache (Law Abiding Citizen) I think I lost my chance to do also one. (No matter if I go with the German title or the original title)

My Thoughts:
When I bought this movie... it was a complete blind buy. Never even seeing the trailer before buying it. Some decent stars in this movie. I like Bruce Willis... I am not too familiar with Madeline Stowe, but everything I have seen her in to date I have enjoyed. Brad Pitt has always been hit and miss in my eyes. I always thought him to be a somewhat over-rated actor. Though he can be good at times. I did like him in Fight Club, Interview with a Vampire and Se7en. And I have to admit... he was right good in this one as well. When I first saw the trailer I was a little concerned this movie would be a bit on the confusing side. But it really wasn't. It is really an interesting, enjoyable movie. Maybe it was a little on the slow side in some parts. But not terribly so. Over-all I am glad I added it to my collection.

My Rating: 4/5
Pete
