| Posted: | | | | I was going to send someone a private message but I thought it might mean more if I published it publicly.
So, I have instead decided to create a thread that celebrates the members of our community.
My first thank you:
Merrik,
I want you to know how much I enjoy your thoughtful commentary. No matter what the issue, or whether I agree with you or not, I look forward to reading your thoughts on issues. You always give me something to think about.
I also appreciate the time and effort you take to contribute to the database. I want you to know I am grateful for all the things you have done to make the database better.
Thank you. |

| Posted: | | | | Holy crap... What a way to make a person feel good about themselves!! ^^ Tears of happiness and appreciation. You absolutely just made a very very hard week all that much better Kathy! You actually really have no idea how much I appreciate this. I started reading the thread, and came across my name and I did one of those "squint, blink, rub your eyes, look again" things. The sentiments are absolutely returned 100%! I try, sometimes I slip a little (I'm entirely too involved in that thread about accents going on right now! ) so it's nice to see something like this. Thank-you darling, again, totally made my week! Oh, and a) I'll take spitballs I guess.... I'll have flashbacks of my crappy highschool years, but I'll take 'em!!!! and b) I plead the fifth on any allegations from Spot. | | | The night is calling. | Posted: | | | | Can I use this opportunity as well? Lately I've been contributing a lot (mostly cover scans and accepted BY adaptations) and the feedback I've received in the votes has been very nice across the board. Even those that voted NO were very constructive in their wording and didn't use any harmful messages at all. A lot of those that vote YES add kind words as well. So to all those, you know who you are, thanks for the nice words in the votes. | Posted: | | | | I want to thank another member of the community.
T!M,
I want to thank you for being such an active, helpful person. I am grateful that you stepped up to keep the BY data current and up to date.
T!M not only contributes to the database but he often helps me via private messages. If I have questions he patiently makes the information easy to understand since I find computer stuff intimidating.
Thank you. |

| Posted: | | | | Yup, I think T!M is a great member of this community. He's constantly active in the BY thread (which he's now volunteered his time to take over) and common name threads. He's absolutely willing to analyze CLT results (which can be painfully time consuming) to help other members when they have a problem with a credit or if there's a question because of mixed credits etc. He volunteers his time and effort to fix hundreds upon hundreds of profiles (and I have yet to see an incorrect contribution of his come through my local). He provides his opinion in a generally pleasant manner backing it up with well thought-out and explained opinions and well researched facts, and he almost always manages to avoid letting frustrations cloud his posts on the forums turning them personal. to T!M. And another to Kathy for such a great idea and a great thread! | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | Kathy only had 3 stars? I guess with her good-hearted nature I was assuming the fourth already. Congrats Kathy Oh... yea... the topic. Right. From all I have read, T!M definitely needed to be mentioned here. I can only mirror what Merrik said. The only addition I can really make is my thanks to him for answering some of my questions sent via PM in a very straightforward manner. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
