| Posted: | | | | Sorry, but I just had to get this out there... out into the endless cosmos that is the Internet. Today my cat Gracie died, she was 20 years old and had lived with me for 18 of those years. She was a dear member of my family, always there during those tough times I went through in my life, never judging (well, unless she wanted fed, of course) and always purring. So this is to you, Gracie, say hello to those who have passed before and thank you for your friendship and all the good times. Gracie Oliver (1990-2010) |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to hear that. My condolences! 20 years is quite old for a cat. I hope she did not have to suffer. My senior died at the age of 15 on Jan 1st this year. Still miss him... | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks everyone for your kind words. Yeah, like every animal in our lives, there's always something special. So while it is sad right now, we are glad we had her for as long as we did, so for that I am happy. |

What do you mean? I think he's referring to the picture above, where it looks like there is a small bell around her neck. I know what you are going through. I just had one of my cats, Skittles, put to sleep about 2 hours ago. She had a stroke around two weeks ago and lost most of her mobility to the point that she couldn't even lift her head yesterday and stopped eating about 4 days ago. It's always tough when they go, but it really helps when you have other pets to help pick you up and take your mind off the departed one. |

It is really tough to see that (my childhood dog had something similar happen). Yeah, it does help having others to take your mind off at least for a bit. I have a 12 year old dog here who is also missing her... As for the bell, there's only one but it was always I guess comforting to hear it throughout the house. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I know exactly how you feel. My Shakira was over 20 when she died and I had had her for most of that time as I got her as 10 week old kitten! I still miss her after 2 years and I know I always will. Your Gracie will always be a part of you even if she is not physically there as so aptly shown by Dr Kil!
