I just wanted to take the time to thank you for a great program. Not only is it extremely user friendly but there is nothing that rivals it. With the advent of DVD Profiler App there is no program that can even compare. Since switching to my Mac I have tried others but found them to fall short of DVDP. Now that I have the DVDP App on my iPod touch life is truly great. The only way it could get just truly mind blowing would be a OSX version of DVDP. Thank you again. |

Unfortunately, the online database is far to be of the same quality, essentially due to poorly designed contribution rules that prefer data from dvd rather than real data from movies. No matter who I talk to whether it is neighbors , friends , family , co workers or strangers at a house BBQ or party .. No one knows about DVD profiler and yet they all love movies and they all have a collection of numerous titles ..  One couple I talked to writes down on a note pad where all their titles are located throughout their house .. but laugh as you might .. It is rather pretty sad state that DVD profiler isn't more well known .. who would you say (apart from your self) also owns a registered copy of DVD Profiler ..? Me..? Agree with you here, sure DVDP is far for being perfect and the lack of real competitions is the cause of that. But as long as I will be able to use the software independantly of the online database I'll be glad. When I bought the licence in 2007 it was because I want to get an easy way to catalog my films and not because I wanted a database... Four years later it always do that and my collection is shown in a great way for my friends online (of course not here). I would like to have more liberty on what I can enter in my database, but I'm happy of what I have since nothing is forced on me and the software will always work. Edit : Thinking of it...
