| Posted: | | | | I've been fostering cats and kittens for Purrfect Pals for several years now, kittens that need to be cared for until they're two months/two lbs so they can be altered and adopted, cats who are too sick to be adopted and need some TLC, or semi-ferals that need socialization. Currently on my 28th set. This past week, I put up a web cam on the kennel cage and set it up to feed through livestream.com. Besides the sheer geek factor of streaming kittens live across the 'Net 24x7, I hope to encourage others to become foster care providers themselves. The kittens are three weeks old today (Sunday, Oct 9th). The cam will be live whenever I have critters. The Kitten Cam |

| Posted: | | | | Very cute! The orange ones look like I imagine my kitty to have looked like when he was that little. He's a rescue from a shelter as well. I've thought about fostering, but he really has trouble with other animals...he's a bit spoiled. | | | Lori |

Keeps 'em isolated from my own pets. |

You can stream over an iPad & android devices, iPhone users need an app called "livestream" and search for "thekittencam". If you watch at work, be sure to keep the volume down lest you end up having to explain to your co-workers what that sudden burst of mews are. (Hint: Say it's a new ring tone you're testing). | Posted: | | | | That’s sooo cute and you can hear them too. Kittens are the cutest things in existence. What a lovely idea. It’s nice to know what good things people here get up to when they’re not watching DVDs, writing about DVDs, or disagreeing about Rules. It makes us seem a bit more human... Paul | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

-R ... which leads to screencaps of the reactions being saved, subtitles added, and the images posted in the LOLCats thread. Is it just me who finds it strange that as I checked it out now for a the first time, there were 22 people watching the cat sleep? I give them periodic exercise to build up their leg strength and ability to go in a straight light. (I sit next to the door, mama curls up on my lap, kittens charge towards her, I move them back) |

Strays don't get that much attention A lot of them are streaming it in the background waiting to hear the kittens mew and then they quickly switch over. The kittens are getting more playful over the past few days, they're starting to wrestle with each other. |
