| Posted: | | | | If your referring to Blu-ray sales, they should be now that their prices are low the player and Movies. Wally world sells a lot of Blu-ray movies for as low as $13. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm a catalog title guy, personally. Mostly stuff pre '70. For me, Blu has been underwhelming, to say the least. They could get 100% of the sales, but as long as it's constrained to titles like Furious Five, it might as well not even exist. I do appreciate the occasional crumb Warner throws a couple times a year. Ben Hur and Citizen Kane this year. I should only be about 75 when the Garbo titles start rolling out. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

| Posted: | | | | Back in 2008ish. Sam and a whole lot of the DvD spot lot ripped me for arse paper for boldly claiming Blu-ray sales by 2012 will start to overtake DvD sales.
Iam not so true Blu as i once used to be. Factors of money and maturing film taste. But still i hold on to the opinion that about Blu-ray sales.
Any way here's a recent report.

| Posted: | | | | I wonder if some of the increased sales are because people are "future proofing" their collections and buying the DVD/Blu-Ray combo packs?
I know that even before I owned a BR player I bought the combo packs if they were available because I planned on buying a player in the future.
And with combo packs just a few more dollars, sometimes the same price as the dvd counterpart, it makes financial sense to buy the combos. |

Since, as your source states, the sales rise by the end of the year, Blu sales would have to rise about another 50% to catch up with DVD sales. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! There saying this week that record could be shattered. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

I still stand by that Blu-ray will not become the out and out norm anytime soon. Also, they include the combo packs in BR sales figures rather than DVD sales figures. I bet of they included them in both, the story but would be a lot different. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

Yes, and I could be President of the United States of Europe by the end of 2014. Then you could make your own film. Air Force Bread Stick |

| Posted: | | | | Blu-ray has commonly had a share of over 50% of new releases for some time now. It seems to be catching up for total market share. |

I grabbed American Psycho for $6 a few weeks ago and they didn't bother to ring it up, just deactivate the security, so it was free! Telling you, used stores are priced too high for Blu (at least $10 each here), the deals are in retail stores. |

I haven't seen them that low here and I definitely won't buy used Blu-ray from Movie Stop their used Blu-rays cost more than new at Wally World or Targets. With these lower prices I'm buying more Blu-ray Especially the combo packs. |
