Well to be fair, I think most of the respondents were talking about selling than actually losing them... For me, I think I've lost one once but that's about it.

Let's see, I sat on one once (it was on the edge of the bed - don't ask ...  )

And then there was the one that got caught up in my Sony changer (the old VGP series).

Had a few go missing at the old place, blame bad roommates. Other than that, when I was done watching "The Item" I took the inserts out of the case and threw them and the dvd directly into the trash, never to go back to. The movie was so bad I couldn't imagine anyone else wasting time on it and felt like I was doing the world a favor by throwing this piece of shiitake mushroom out. Too bad it was only one copy and no the only copy. I still cringe when I think back to that flick, at least it had a good replacement case.

I can only think of two.

I bought Three Kings watched it at friends house.  I hated it so much I just left it there and never looked back.

Second my son misplaced UP almost a year ago.  I have searched the entire house and still haven't found it.

I really want to watch this film now, just to see why it was so bad.

Where was it?

I've lost 2...that I know of. 

First was The Dark Knight, which I discovered was MIA when I went to re-watch it just before The Dark Knight Rises came out. I have the 2-disc DVD edition and the 2nd disc was in the case, but I'm at a complete loss as to where the movie disc could've gone. Fortunately, I had the Digital Copy on my laptop, so I was still able to re-watch it before catching the finale. I eventually replaced it when the single-disc version went on sale for $4, since the single disc is identical to disc 1 of the 2-disc set (and now I have an empty backup keepcase!)

Second, which I just discovered last week, is the Hunger Games. I picked up the 3-disc Target exclusive blu-ray back on release date. I just noticed that I apparently never put it in with the rest of my collection and can't find where I did put it. It's in the house somewhere, but I have no idea where. Sometimes when I buy new movies, I hide them from the wife for a while so she doesn't think I'm spending too much $$. Then, over time, I'll gradually just "slip" them into the collection. Unfortunately, Hunger Games is eluding me right now, but I will find it!

But I have a plan. I now buy mostly BluRay........ the mesdemoiselles Mole only have playback facilities for DVDs!
