2. How long before I hit that big #100? Taking into consideration your average purchase rate? About a week. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Congratulations. 100 is a great milestone. I just reached 396 after about 4 years of collecting. Here is a question I bet you have asked yourself, because I know I have, will you replacing the majority of your DVD's with Blu? |

| Posted: | | | | I asked myself that multiple times... The answer? Started as: NO! Then went to: Only on my Favorites! Now is at: Only for Films that would take full advantage of Blu-ray visually! So... I think the answer will ultimately end up being YES! by the time it is done and over with. | | | Pete |

I've upgraded a good portion of my collection but I don't think it will amount to a majority given that there are still a lot of DVD titles that have yet to be released to Blu-ray. |

All kidding aside I have a number of duplicates I could send your way and I'm sure there are other members which can help you get to that 100 milestone sooner rather than later. |

| Posted: | | | | Blue-ray is 7.85% of my collection: 1640 titles. I have and will replace those favorites where deemed worthy. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | I think we are all trying to decide what is worthy and what isn't. When I first started buying Blu I promised only new films. Then I saw some of my older movies on Blu and said wow, I want this upgrade so it turned into well one here or there. Then the collector kicked in and said just upgrade it all as possible. Then I figured out what it would cost and went, if I hit the lottery otherwise not a chance. |

The answer?
Started as: NO! Then went to: Only on my Favorites! Now is at: Only for Films that would take full advantage of Blu-ray visually!
So... I think the answer will ultimately end up being YES! by the time it is done and over with. I think we've all done this. Mine was something along the lines of: * Only favourites * New titles to the collection * Movies with lots of dark scenes * Action/sci-fi ...then I got a new receiver * Musicals ...then a region-unlockable player: * Titles I'd skipped because they were Region-A exclusive & locked (i.e. A Trip to the Moon, Godzilla, Deadwood... still wanting Black Mask & The Storm Riders) | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |
