| Posted: | | | | I have Superman II The Richard Donner Cut: 085391131045 (WB)
It will not read in any DVD player or PC. There is no obvious damage.
Is there any way to get it replaced? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | I think Amazon will sell you a copy. Alternatively, have you contacted Warner Home Video customer service? --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | If purchased from Amazon it's easy, simply return it and state it is damaged.
All else may require some discussion with the vendor. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Umm, Amazon already sold me a copy - a really helpful comment. You actually took the time to research and create a link - geez.
Anyway, I'll try WB customer service. And I'll check my purchase history to see who the Amazon vendor was where I bought the original copy, although I'm well past the exchange window. | | | Thanks for your support. I must have at least 10 such devices, in my PC, various laptops, standalone players and changer. So, believe it or not, most all my DVD players and my PCs also read Blu-Ray discs. While a Blu-ray Player will be capable of playing DVDs (backward compatibility) a DVD-Player will most definitely not Play Blu-rays (lack of forward compatibility). You explicitly mentioned that your Blu-ray doesn't play in a DVD-Player, which, as I have to confess, is the behaviour that is to be expected. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | Warner Bros has a replacement program for defective blue ray discs ... I had two defective HDDVD from 2007 where bewteen chapters 8 to say 14 there was no picture just a snarled mess .. WB sent me a mailer to send back the discs and then they replaced both with Blue Ray of the same titles .. ( Phantom of the Opera 2004 / the other was Mutiny on the Bounty 1962 .. did a quick check on google to find phone number and found this quote - "Warner Bros. has quietly implemented a replacement program for defective Matrix Revolutions Blu-ray discs.
The number to call is (800)553-6937.
The lady I talked with knew exactly what I was talking about. The only information she wanted from me was the UPC number on the back of the case and my address. She said a corrected copy would be sent to me within a week, and that I did not need to send them my defective disk. " ....

| Posted: | | | | Have you taken it out of the box? | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |
