Just watch David Fincher's Gone Girl to see my home town. Pretty much the entire film was shot here.

If wikipedia is right: "Principal photography began on September 15 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, U.S., and was scheduled to last about five weeks.[13][14] Some scenes were also filmed in Los Angeles, U.S.[14]"

Nothing really good for our little town, so here's our big neighbor to the north (downtown Louisville is about 25 miles north, edge of the city about 13).

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I live in the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland. Not a lot happens here. If I want to go a cinema etc, then I have to drive an hour, get a two hour ferry, and then drive three more hours. I actually live on the next island over from here, but this is essentially the same. Modern houses and old crofting houses:
