That hang is probably because it's working to remove the information which would take varying amount of time based on the size of your collection.  This is assuming the pause is after you confirmed that you want to purge it.  Maybe a message stating to please wait?

No waiting message.  Just the first one where you either ok the go ahead or cancel the request.  Just checked the actual message reads: Warning Refreshing the database can take awhile depending on how many profiles you have and your wireless/wi-fi speed. Are you sure?

When I click ok, the message stays on the screen up to a minute.  The ok button shows it's been clicked and eventually it disappears and goes on to refreshing the database, but it never did that before.  Just to clarify, I'm not worried about the actual refresh speed--that's the same as usual. It's the hang before that starts that I'm wondering about.

Am I doing something wrong to reset it?

Maybe.. To be sure delete application and re download it on AppStore (it's free of course)

I'll do this later. I simply reset earlier, but it still seems somehwhat off.

The smaller sorting errors will still remain thou (e.g. A Bug's Life) or should that go away after a "full reset"?

No problem. No complain. I just wanted to make sure what to expect after the full reset.

Another suggestion is to create a sort title field in your database and set it to the movie title with common prefixes removed.

That way, the movies A Bugs Life and The Beastmaster are listed in the B section.

It's not a hard fast rule because sometimes it isn't removed like in The Time Machine but it seems like it's somewhat not too common.

I coded it in last version, but I make a mistake and it's not in 1.2.0
I published maybe to fast for iOS4.

If it's already coded does this mean that this change (for sorting) will appear in a 1.2.1 version - i.e it won't be saved just for a new 2.0 version?

I corrected :
* filtering (yes filtering didn't work in 1.2.1)
* suppress "The " and "A " for first letter section (like 1.1.1)
And now "Der", "Die" and "Das" is use only for German iPhone (no more "Die Hard" on H section for you )

I don't have more time this week-end, did I forget something important easy to change ?
I will publish 1.2.1 version on monday.

Wish list, blue-ray filter and so on is for 2.0 version

not sure how the profile update works? I changed the overview of a profile, updated the collection on my itouch - and the new overview didn't come down.

I had to reset the collection before the change was visible?

I had assumed that it would pick up any change to a profile and download that?

First of all, are you sure that modifications are available on your online collection :
http://www.invelos.com/DVDCollection.aspx/pauls42

But yes, once a movie is download on iPhone, I don't update it...
Refresh just get new movies.

So you have to delete your database and download your collection.

Hi Samuel

Is there a way of reseting your database without deleting and re-installing the app?

Hi Samuel,

Could you add the following as well? L', Las, Le, Les, Los, Un, Une. But you're French, I shouldn't have to explain this to you!

Does this app require the iPhone (or live network connection), or will it also work with the iPod Touch?

It works on the Touch.  Very simple to get started.

Yes, you can reset data in the Configuration tab.
the top right button "RAZ"

But with big collection (more than 2000) it's can be very long...
Delete application it's sometimes faster

Yes, the modification was visible on the online collection of course. After I reset the collection then I got the new overview.

One suggestion would be to have a button visible on the detail page for the profile which did a full re-download of that one profile. So if you knew that you had made major changes to a profile then you could re-download that one profile - without having to re-download them all.
