I found myself in a meeting on the 9th floor of PricewaterhouseCoopers offices in London today (don't ask) and in a dull moment thought I'd see how good their open 'visitors' wireless Internet was on my tally old laptop.  I haven't got a link to post, but the download speed was around 650 Mb/s and the upload one about 750 Mb/s.  I guess that's what a turnover of $34 billion does for you.

I am pleased to report that when they tried to print a label for me to wear at reception, the computer froze.  I'll add that to my successful attempt two days ago to stop a whole petrol station working by asking for a receipt from the till, which crashed the whole system for at least 10 minutes (before I got bored and left).  And my successful attempt to wreck another till the same day in the same way, for which I successful jammed up the receipt printing bit totally.

Probably something went wrong with the measurement.

A bandwidth of 650 Mbit can be considered to be quite luxurious for a "Guest-Access". Admins usually try to reserve as much bandwidth as possible for their own purposes ... 650 would surely impress some IT-Pros from competing companies though.
