| Posted: | | | | Well, I hope not then all versions of the film worldwide DVD and BD will need changing. There are tons of covers in the database that have nudity not listed as adult. It's a nuts policy because DVD Profiler is used predominantly by adult collectors. It's typical of an American company, prudish. | | | Last edited: by RMC |

I believe it's an excellent policy. If we can consider "Television" to be a genre then surely we can tolerate the "Adult" genre added to profiles intended for an adult audience. Perhaps your problem is not in the genre of the profile, but in the way the iOS software handles that genre. Rather than misrepresent certain "adult" profiles you should make an iOS feature request. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | I would love to, but I don't think anything will come of it. This is an issue also with Apple. The thing is that Salo isn't a sex film but an arthouse drama. I can understand when it's hardcore porn or something. |

| Posted: | | | | Doesn't seem to matter what kind if film it is. This is the reason I got when I tried to contribute a profile for a comedy that had a small picture of a topless girl on the back cover: Quote: Profile Contribution Declined 2019-06-27 11:18:19: The contributed profile is an adult entry or displays nudity, but was not marked as such. Please set a genre as Adult or the rating as Adult. This policy (it's not in the rules, as far as I can see) does not seem to be imposed consistently, though. But then again, consistency in screening has never been a strong point ... | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | As I said, there are tons of covers with nudity on them. Adult should just he hardcore porn, softcore or less should be listed under the genre - Americans are so prudish. Here in Europe a topless women is no big deal but Americans seem terrified of it but willing to accept violence and gore without hatting an eyelid. Talk about skewed. |
