| Posted: | | | | Hi Guys,
You think you've got all your bases covered & then servers down. Because server down was not listed in the rules I've PM'd 'Erin' & asked if he was stopped/precluded from responding if so, then additional time is in order, if he was not precluded from responding & missed the time frame he is out. And would be responsible for a congratulatory message or scroll etc to the winner or co-winners. I'll assume, as it was previously mentioned that 12 hrs from my PM or this note, with no response to the PM and or no post at 'New Fun Game Begins', Erin would be out.
Kahless - you assumed correctly, should Erin be out (time frame) you would indeed respond to Caroline.

| Posted: | | | | Hi Guys,
'Fun Game Begins' has ended!
We had 8 players in this trial run & the game was too slow, so what do you think.
Proposed <join in>
1. At the start all players PM'd start time & location.
2. No reasons accepted, server down, I formatted c:, etc., miss posting time your out - no exceptions
3. 24 hr. posting time goes to 12 hrs to post a response.
4. Player order Rico > Caroline > etc. carried over to each page.
That's all for now, it's late

| Posted: | | | | I'll play the next game!
btw. I like the new rules. I would suggest naming the thread for the people playing in order then we need not carry the names to the next page | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline | | | Last edited: by Caroline |

When each player is PM'd I would suggest a copy of the player order and the current set of rules for easy reference in need | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | Hi there! If we reduce the time frame to 12hrs we should take into consideration that we have to deal with different time zones. E.g. the difference between LAX and BER is -9hrs. In worst case sombebody has to set up his alarmclock to stay in the game So would it be cogitable to arrange a kind of "time zone groups" (1# Rico, BYATES1, ...2# Rander, Caroline, Kahless etc.)? I think this would really speed up the game. Maybe timeframe for response within the same timezone 12hrs, timeframe between different time zones 24hrs... | | | Thorsten |

We have had players across all the various time zones and that can make it more difficult to stick to the 12 hour turn around. | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | Achtung!
Won't we need a timekeeper, if we have zones? Aren't all the posts time stamp Pacific time, regardless of posters location? In order fro this to work: Example 'Kahless' would be using local time Deutchland, and would have to add 12 hrs. locally to post & remain in the game, while Rico in La La land would be clueless, has to Kahless time.
If Kahless posted 'Peter Falk' and in that post, posted the local time of the post, the next person would have to (some time later) convert German time, to LA time then add 12 hrs.
Hmm! Two trains leave the stations at the same time one travel 50 mph, and the other 20 mph... I was never good at math word/problems. Perhaps FunkyLA could help with the train problem!
Confused in LA
