This is how I would do it...though I wouldn't include the rank, but that is just my personal preference. As far as I remember, Star Trek TNG includes the ranks and names in the opening credits. So it would be "as credited" to include the ranks. | | |

It has been a while since I have seen an episode so, if that is the case, then I will concede that point. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | You have to remember... the rules are still just being worked on for version 3... after all this is something new we just got with version 3. I would suggest going into the rules forum and bring it up if you feel that way and see how it goes from there. | | | Pete |

Quote: If a film has actors listed in the opening credits, which are not listed in the end credits, add these to the list in DVD Profiler before those taken from the end credits. Then the rest of the cast that are on the end credits would go after those credited in the opening credits. If there are no roles associated for the cast or part of the cast you would then use this rule. Quote: If an actor is credited by name but does not have an associated role, you may use another source to identify the role. In each case, list Actor’s names and roles (when given) exactly as they are in the credits and in exactly the same order credited. | | | Are you local? "with names and roles listed exactly as they are in the credits and in exactly the same order credited"You can pretend to that it is unclear in order to try to get your way, we have lots of users that specialize in that. But what bout one word don't you understand...EXACTLY. It means precisely what it says. It is not the way YOU want to do it, you even said so. But it is clear. So if you don't want to do it that way, you don't have to, just KEEP IT LOCAL. The votes have also clearly answered your question. I only what to discuss this situation with all of us, but it seems I have to start it in the rules forum instead. and Skip: I know the Rules. Never the less, we can discuss about it for improving, so please don't trample my arguments, like a rhino who wants to extinguish fire (no hard feelings)... Maybe it's my fault in taking the wrong forum for that | | | regards, Mad -

| Posted: | | | | Credits are Credits. Opening or closing credits makes no difference. If some Crew are mentioned in the opening and the rest in the closing credits, we do not split them up either. So I have voted for option number 1. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

Skip Have to agree with Skip on this one - the rules are not open for interpretation regarding credits, so list them exactly as they appear. What may come in the future no-one knows, but for now let's stick to rules.... | | | Berak
