This is the only one that comes to mind for me.

Highlander: 10th Anniversary Director's Cut

It's probably the only Director's Cut I've ever seen that actually made a movie worse than the original version.  The original theatrical version was just so much superior.  The scenes that were put back in and the way it was re-edited was just horrendous.

-edit-
Oh wait.. I thought of another one.  Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever.  Nothing else needs to be said about that one.

Ju-On (Japan)

I usually like the Japanese horror originals better than the remakes, and I thought The Grudge was pretty good. But Ju-On is one of the worst made films I've ever seen, just really bad, couldn't wait to get rid of it.

Biggest regrets:
Strange Days
Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal (which I have not, and will not, watched)
Lone Star
Bedazzled
Fantasia 2000 (only because so much was repeated from the original, otherwise it was ok)
French Connection 1 & 2
Looney Tunes: Back in Action (I had loved Space Jam and hoped this one would be as good - it was a major disappointment)
Mortal Thoughts
Royal Tenenbaums

TV Series:
A Bit of Fry and Laurie: This was a bit of a disappointment
I Dream of Jeannie: It was not as good as I had remembered from my youth - I probably won't complete the series
The Protectors: Not as good as I remembered - I probably won't complete the series

You didn't care for Lone Star ?  It's still one of my favorite movies.

Immediately springing to mind...

Say It Isn't So!
Serving Sarah

these have pretty much turned me off of romantic comedies and even comedies in general.  How bad can they get??

liorb22: when you bought "Paris, France", you must have thought you were buying "Paris, Texas"... one of my best blind purchases!
in canada, no one can hear you scream

You're lucky, I've seen the pre JU-ON: THE GRUDGE TV/cable movies

Just off the top of my head, I'd have to say Daredevil.

I usually have great luck with my blind buys, but I just didn't care for that one.

I'm quite glad that I've never seen them then, if they're worse than Ju-On was.

Actually they might be slightly better than JU-ON: THE GRUDGE (official title for the theatrical Japanese films)

The director has made literally 7 almost identical versions of the same film:

Ju-on: The Curse 1
Ju-on: The Curse 2
Ju-on: The Grudge
Ju-on: The Grudge 2
Ju-on: The Grudge 3

The Grudge
The Grudge 2

I hear his MAREBITO is very good though, Katatonia.

Anyway; regretting buying stuff... constantly, but IMO you've gotta take a few risks in order to dig out the "pearls."

The only film I can think of right now is The Fall of the Roman Empire, over three hours of utter boredom.

If you found that boring, try watching Tarkovsky's version  . Personally, I absolutely loved the 2002 version and the 1972 version was good too but I can understand that those movies aren't for everyone.

There are several titles I regret buying, but I always just sell or trade them.. so I can't really remember too many of them!

One of my recent bad purchases was "Madagascar". I was waiting for some a nice animation like A Shark's Tale or Shrek, but it turned out to be a big, big disappointment. It didn't have any plot really.. and it wasn't even funny at all. The only thing I liked about the movie was the voice acting.

I just got rid of the disc today, now I'm happy again.

The Matador. Just an absolutely lousy movie. In the previews for the movie it looked pretty good but I didn't realize that those were the best parts of the movie.

The only ones i have regreted buying were, Evita (couldn't ever get all the way through it,and finally sold it) and the Ladykillers (I usually find most of Tom Hanks movies at least entertaining, but completely disliked this one)
