Maybe I didn't express it right: I wanted to know if INVELOS is planning a "CD-Version" and expected to get an answer from one of the Team itself. I've tried other CD-programs and I'm not satisfied with these. Sorry again! Greetings from Germany Hillary I'm not sure I've ever seen an official no from Ken or Gerri (the team) in answer to this question. However on the basis it's just the two of them and looking after DVD Profiler seems to be a full time job, then I wouldn't expect to see a CD profiler from Invelos. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | That's because it will happen at night. What is not known by many of you - and I'm risking my life saying this - is that CD Profiler will be announced and released at night. Because the program is for vampires. |

| Posted: | | | | Personally relative to CDProfiler in the future, I think the Community is its own worst enemy in this regard. With so many users spinning, rationalizing and actively (it seems) looking for loopholes to exploit, if I were Ken why would I want to magnify that by adding more programs. That said, I support the idea of more Profilers...pick your poison....BUT....I just don't see it realistically. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I doubt that the amount of tiresome discussions would be magnified by the addition of other profiler programs. After all, it's always the usual suspects spawning these quarrels, and just because there's another program those people might have fun screwing with, it won't add to the hours of time available to do so. So, whatever discussions revolve around another profiler application would have to be deducted from the amount of time spent on DVD Profiler | | | Lutz |

| Posted: | | | | Hello to Hilary,
I’m doing research on which software to get deeply involved with. Its not the money, it’s the time you invest, and you want to get the right stuff.
Not only would it make a lot of sense to have software that does CDs and movies and maybe books too, it would make sense to systemize things so that the software for your book library works the same way as the sifware for your DVD library. |

| Posted: | | | | I think the issue would be too much RIAA hates their customers really. So to get RIAA to agree to add cd information to a database would be hard as heck. Audiophiler looks to be the best CD db program even through I don't really care for any of ther cd programs myself. It took less the 4-5 days for the new topic on CD Profiler by the way! |

| Posted: | | | | I don’t think Sony likes their music buyers any less than their movie buyers, and the Digital Mellenium Copyright Act is the same for all media. So it’s really the individual contributers who are doing all the work to build up the database for DVD Profiler.
And the difference with Audiophiler seems to be that they depend on a commercial database (Gracenote), right?
So is it really that the software is not as good for CDs or more that the community is not there?
Is the data for CDs at Audiophiler not good, or just not complete ennough?
What’s so much better, for you, about DVD Profiler? |

I think if you stack up Profiler against ANY other software package for DVDs , you will find the competition to be wanting in any number of areas.
