| Posted: | | | | Some that haven't been mentioned, though they may focus around sporting culture rather than directly on it:
Australian Rules (Australian rules football) Crackerjack (Lawn bowls) Green Street Hooligans (soccer hooliganism) The Football Factory (soccer hooliganism)
I guess A Knight's Tale would count, since jousting was/is a sport. Gambling movies would too, since *apparently* poker is a sport. What about a movie like Fearless, where there's competitive martial arts? | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting 8ballMax: Quote: "Radio" is another good one. Cuba Gooding, Jr. does a wonderful job in this film. And who can forget "Chariots of Fire"? I hated "Chariots of Fire" I remember being a kid asking my dad does it ever end we ended walking out of the movie. My 2 sports movies I love are "Radio" and "Facing The Gaints" | | | Last edited: by Randall_Lind |

| Posted: | | | | Angels in the Outfield (Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd) Little Big League Rookie of the Year
-- all are solid and entertaining baseball comedies (though Angels has a dramatic element)
"Major League" (Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Tom Berenger) is my favorite baseball film ever - great one liners --- "just a little bit outside"........ Bob Uecker as Harry Doyle
Mighty Ducks was a decent movie as well. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Kevin: Quote: Yeah, Slap Shot was hilarious. I remember seeing it in the theater. I normally wouldn't go to the theater to see something like this, but several of the players were actual players in the International Hockey League, and played for our local team. And for one time the dubbing is great. The french canadian version is a classic, so many great lines. This is the only movie in my collection that I have never watch in it's original language. |
