Escape From New York is a must.
There's also 2019: After the Fall of New York, which is a low-budget rip-off of Escape but worth a watch. I'd say go buy the 2 disc Escape and rent 2019.

The Resident Evil series sounds like it would fit your tastes.

Blood of Heroes (AKA The Salute of the Jugger and Salute to the Jugger) - Although as far as I can tell the only complete cut is the Australian release By Village Roadshow. R1 release is missing like 10 Minutes.

Thanks to all for the recommendations

From the suggestions the ones i have seen and liked:
Armageddon, Independence Day, Resident Evil's, Trilogy of the Dead (though only really liked Dawn of The Dead from the older ones), Planet of the Apes (But never really liked the older ones), Appleseed, The Postman, Water World, Children of Men (bought it yesterday and it was really good).

From the suggestions the ones i have seen and didnt really like:
Terminators, Matrix trilogy

Also own 12 monkeys, but havent watched it yet.

Your list shows mainly newer films.

Not that big fan of older (<-90's) movies, dont really know why. Probably cause i started watching movies in 1990. But there are some movies i come a cross every now and then that are old but still really good in my opinion. Some like the mother, i like the daughter

Anyway need to continue browsing thorough the other recommendations...

Edit: Also, about 15 years ago i watched this movie called "Lötköjen yö", which according to IMDB is called "Night of the Creeps", does anyone know if its worth watching again? I dont remember much of it, and back then i thought Commando was awesome

The new R2 DVD released in the UK is fully uncut. Released by Optimum Home Entertainment as 'Salute of the Jugger' and has a running time of 100 minutes.

I tried your link.  It returned a critical error, saying it couldn't connect to the database.

Damnation Alley was an all time favorite of mine as a kid.  Jan-Michael Vincent and George Peppard star in a movie with flesh eating cockroaches among other horrors!!!  Great fun!!!

There is no Scientology in that movie.  That's a load of BS put out by L. Ron Hubbard's enemies.  It's a tongue-in-cheek John Travolta piece that actually has a rather clever plot.  It ain't Gone With the Wind, but it isn't Plan 9 From Outer Space either.  Just good, entertaining, escapist sci-fi fun.

I disagree with "good" "entertaining" and "fun". It ain't Scientology, but it ain't watchable either.

IMHO.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Def-Con 4 and one of my all time favourites, Damnation Alley with George Peppard and Jan-Michael Vincent.  Much to my chagrin it still hasn't come to dvd as of yet.
