Quote: You know threads like these are a real pain if you use the 'Todays active topics' function.
So, no matter how the thread and the post are labeled, we're not supposed to ever reveal a spoiler?
No but it would be nice if Ken implemented spoiler tags. Of course people could use the font color function in the meantime. The person who started this topic put the word SPOILER in the title what more could you want? |

Quote: http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3343069/Battlestar-Galactica-Season-3/Product.html What the hell? How come this isn't for sale in R1 yet? It might have something to do with your mid-season breaks in your TV series. Whereas you had a mid-season break for Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis over here in the UK we got to see them straight through, I do believe I mentioned this before in another thread. So before you could get the release of the DVD's there had to be a gap between shown and release. Steve |

All five were revealed if you believe that bit at the end... Ron Moore confirmed they are for real at a convention, but they would be different than the other models. |

We've already seen that based on there only seems to be one of the first five and not multiple like for models 6-12. What their purpose could be - that we have yet to see. Since we've only seen one of these models, one would also assume that they do not have the ability to resurrect unless there's a super-secret section of the Resurrection Ship that holds their spare bodies that even the Cylons aren't aware of as public knowlege. |

| Posted: | | | | The interesting part is IMHO that the models 6 to 12 are relatively young. Young not in concept of age but in "how long do real people know them". The Cylons left 40 years ago and the oldest cylons we know are Boomer and Six. Boomer was among humans for at leats 4 or 5 years (academy + flight school). Six at least one or two years. We don't know if the others were seen before.
But Tigh? Adama fought with Tigh in the first Cylon War. Was he already a Cylon in those years? Or has he been replaced and the Cylon Tigh got memory implants? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If I were a betting man, I would say that the original human was replaced by a Cylon with a copy of the original human memory. If not a copy, then implanted with all known knowledge of the human and programmed to accept it as actual events.
However, based on the active role in Bionic Woman, it's possable that Starbuck won't be seen much in the upcoming BSG season unless she did her filming for the role in Bionic Woman after she was off the show towards the end of the last season. |

But Tigh? Adama fought with Tigh in the first Cylon War. Was he already a Cylon in those years? Or has he been replaced and the Cylon Tigh got memory implants? In my opinion there are two big continuity errors. First is Tigh. He has been Adam's best friend for years and other than a short time when he was on the way station, at which point he contemplated suicide, he has always been by Adama's side. They never talk of a mission where he was lost for any period of time. I do not have cable and have not seen much of season three so I cannot say there was a replacement opportunity there, but if there was they would have likely shown it. If for not other reason then, "Oh crap, we HAVE to save Tigh." We know Adama would never leave him behind. It would ruin the show in my opinion, but if Tigh is a cylon he would have to be 1. Placed on the way station as the first cyclon/human spy and Adama, becomes his best friend completely by chance. The second issue is Anders. We would have to believe that he is a rogue cylon killing all of the other models if he is indeed a cyclon, which would be a fact he likely doesn't know himself. Lucy Lawless attempted to kill him on site when he blew up the cafe and she found him in the garage. Only the fact that 6 and Boomer knocked her out and killed her stopped it. |

| Posted: | | | | Keep in mind that none of the 6-12 models know anything of the First Five. So when she tried to kill Anders, it's because she thought he was human scum. Also remember that none of the First Five (four in this case) realized that they were Cylon until they all met at the end of the last show of the season.
Only one Cylon has seen one of the First Five and knew them as one of the First Five and that was the religious model (forget the name, played by Lucy Lawless) in the Temple of Apollo just before the sun went nova. She said something along the lines of "Forgive me, I didn't know it was you" |
