For all the german speaking / reading users I recommend a look into "Katzen würden Mäuse kaufen" by Hans-Ulrich Grimm the subtitle is "The Blackbook of Petfood" (ISBN 978-3-552-06049-4).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

It's a known fact that chickens are imune to cianide yet I think they don't tolerate salt.
