| Posted: | | | | It seems that detailed descriptions and images of murder or war are acceptable in our society. Yet when it comes to sex and the human body the same people are outraged. It seems that death and hate are more acceptable than life and love. What does that say about us as a society? |

Good some country are less prude than others (just to be clear : I don't talk of the U.S. viewer, but about the "Think about the Children Crowd". I don't see at which hour it will be aired, but if it is after 9PM this is not a big deal. |

It became an issue not because of when it aired in the Eastern time Zone, which was 10PM, BUT in the Central Time Zone it was 9PM and the Mountain Time Zone was <horrors>8PM. The Pacific Tiume Zone was 10PM, it's just the way the whacky world of TV works in the US.

However, there is a fundamental difference between Janet's wardrobe malfunction and the NYPD Blue show in question. With Janet, there was NO warning. (If you watched NYPD Blue, and didn't know what the show was about, shame on you.) I got two young 'uns, and it's my responsbility monitor what they watch. And I do that, but I need to know what I'm up against. Just give me a warning, that's all I ask. (I'm also not so dumb that I can't explain stuff away if the rugrats see something they shouldn't.)
And besides, since Janet, we've had McCartney, the Stone, and this year Petty for the SB halftime show. Much better, IMHO.

BNN is known to start such promotion for raising the viewing rates. Their last coup was a show where 3 terminally ill people had to battle for the vital parts of another, who then had the final decision who of the three should get these parts. It turned out to be a "fake" because all the participants were actors, but just the announcement arose worldwide interest. I think I prefer nudity. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | You mean they'll advertise Deep Throat and get everyone to tune in, then show a documentary about the Watergate informer? |

| Posted: | | | | Well, I saw the clip in question again today (it was somewhere on Youtube). And after watching it again, I'd gladly send ABC some money if it meant we got more programming along those lines. Ms. Ross was looking fine! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. who? she have co-founded the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) in 1985 who is responsible for the warning sticker on the disc. But she have resigned in 1992 and the group have nothing to do (in my understanding) with TV or movie. Wikipedia article about herMore about the PMRCThe group responsible for the complaints to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is the Parents Television Council (PTC).
