Bah! It didn't come uop in the price comparison site when I looked and it wasn't on the R1 retailers that I've used. 

Oh well, what I've ordered does have the good picture.

Just wish they had a version that had the commentary AND good picture. But since I can't ever remember listening all the way through a commentary.. 

I highly recommend Michael's Movie Mayhem.  It has data on 129,470 Region 1 DVD Releases (as of today).  You can search on Title, Studio, Genre, UPC, or All and do a People Search on Actor or Director.  I keyed in the UPC for the R1 version of Weekend and got hits for the vendors I showed.  For Amazon it even shows whether it's available directly from Amazon or if it's one of their "new or used" copies available from participating sources.

Michael's site is updated daily with information from the distributors -- so it's both extensive and up to date.  I don't think there's a similar site out there for other Regions, though.
