No, I understand that. But if you are going to worry about poisons you can't control, why would you willingly put more into your system? It is the same as the woman who is smoking, while pregnant, and worrying about the effect of the jackhammer noise on her unborn baby. It is a logic that escapes me. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar | | | Last edited: by TheMadMartian |

And, if we trust our tv and newspaper, everything on earth give cancer. There is something wrong with the tv and newspapers in Canada if that is what they are telling you. I haven't seen a single report down here that makes that claim. Quote: So why stop doing something that is a pleasure for me, since I have 90% chance to die from cancer anyway with our without tabacco. Who said you should stop? If you want to take that chance with your life, more power to you. All I asked is that we not pretend it isn't a dangerous thing to do. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Not everything a human does is purely logical, that's one of the things that make us human and helped us through evolution so far. Take me as an example: I know smoking is highly dangerous and that the biohazard sign should be on every single package (at least if it wouldn't look so cool), but I'm still doing it even though I realized a decrease of my lung capacities.
