| Posted: | | | | There isn't much I don't like to try in the way of movies, TV, except music, there I'm pretty much old school. Jazz and classical.
At one time I thought I would be a professional musician. My mother had a beauty shop and when I was ten she traded a permanent wave for an Eb clarinet (the old Albert system). The woman's son was an instrument repairman at Sears (yes they used sell musical instruments) and for $10 he put new pads on it. Another $10 for a mouth piece and I was in business. I taught myself to play by listening to Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw on the radio. By 15 I was playing in all the summer concert bands around the city.
I go out of my way to find mystery and crime on DVD.
Data base saves, I have worked with computers for to many years to trust them, I backup at least every day and maintain backup of these on external drives.
For a lark I bought "One Tree Hill: (first 4 season on sale) and to may surprise I enjoyed it, really got into the characters as did my friends.
I use sales to try movies and TV I normally would not buy.
Example I bought "Tropical Heat: Sweating Bullets" The Complete Series (1991-93), 66 episodes, 54 hours. just finished the 1st season, Review: Cheesy but undeniably fun, private detective series ala Magnum P.I., (1980-88), with lower production values, but better looking side kicks and more bikinis and silicon. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | Let's see... I used the new beta for about 3 weeks before I did a backup (and I'm using the beta exclusively now). I don't know if I have any incorrect UPC's. Last year, I discovered a DVD on the shelf that I had not recorded in DVDP! My favorite genre is musicals. My wife's favorite genre is anything with killing in it. I watch her movies with her, but she doesn't watch mine much. | | | ...James

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once.
