I'll admit that I have not followed any politicsal agenda's of any of those guys but agree with unicus... While it is true that some of his decisions will affect you, ALL of his decisions will affect me, so I can't be too concerned about how others view the US. From a strictly historical perspective the election of a bi-racial President is significant. It was during my lifetime that people of color in the US were denied the right to vote. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. Our politicians will make decisions that effect you based on the decissions he make that effects us. Of course you should not be "too" concerned about how others view the US, but it's a long time since economy and politics was so polarized big decissions didn't have global impact. And yes, both Europe and Asia are able to effect the US economy and politics. | | | Regards Lars | | | Last edited: by lmoelleb |

Maybe the election itself didn't concern the people from outside the USA. But who are you to disallow the rest of the world an interest and an opinion in what's happening in your country? Would you kindly remember that the results of your election will effect the rest of the world for the next 4 years. Being interested and having an opinion doesn't mean that we've lost our sense of reality, we know that we can't effect your elections, and guess what, mostly we don't even want to. Congratulations USA, hopefully you've elected the best possible president. But this is something that can only be told in years to come. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
