| Posted: | | | | I haven't got a BD-Player yet, but ordered 2001 and Blade Runner yesterday. Which is kind of fitting because ~10,5 years ago those two were among the first 10 DVDs I bought.

| Posted: | | | | Last May I got myself a PS3 with the idea of just using it to watch BD, but since then have bought a few games for it. My first movie though was Short Circuit, since it was only $13.99. After that I got both National Treasures movies, which look great. My collection has grown since then. | | | We're on a mission from God.

| Posted: | | | | My first player was SONY BDP-S1 and with this I got the James Bond: Casino Royale inside the box.
First movies bought: 300 Fift Element (lucky me it was the new release) Terminator 2 (a total ripoff)
Back in 2007, times goes by... As my CRT BARCO canon did't suported the HDMI protection and it didn't had Component input and the blu didn't got RGBHV out I was stuck for several month until I could get enough money to by mysef a digital projector, havent regreted that buy a single day. | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: | | | | I got my first BD player about a year and a half ago. It was a Samsung BD1400 which I later swapped for a (region free) Panasonic BD30, since the Samsung never worked properly even after several firmware upgrades.
My first BD title was Bridge to Terabithia. By now I have a bit over a hundred BD titles. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Short Circuit because it was a decent price on Amazon. I now have over 100 BDs.
Like Bob, my primary BD player is the LG200, not only because it's a combo player (I also started out with HD DVD) but because it can be made region free for both DVDs and BDs... |

| Posted: | | | | I bought my PS3 last march and I use it only for Blu-Rays (for Games I prefer the XBox 360 because of the better controller and better online integration). The first Blu-Ray was Cars, the second was Rataouille. One year later I have 47 Blu-Rays and some pre-orders. | | | Last edited: by Reihnold |

| Posted: | | | | Joined the Blu-Ray club just before Christmas 2008 with a Sony BDP-S350. It came with four Blu-Rays from the shop (including The Dark Knight!) and another six from Sony, so the player itself was almost for free. This first disc I ordered myself (not counting these ten freebies) was the BBC's Earth. No BR drive in my PC as of yet - I'll hold off until burning blu-rays becomes a more reliable process. |

| Posted: | | | | I got both hi-def formats at the same time.
My first player was the TOL LG-combo player but I didn't like it so I quickly got my money back and upgraded.
First HD-DVD Player: Toshiba HD-A35 First HD-DVD disc: Adventures of Robin Hood, Apollo 13, and The Searchers
First BluRay Player: Pioneer Elite BDP-95FD First BluRay disc: Dinosaur and Total Recall
From the start I liked the BluRay better but I have to admit the HD-DVD discs loaded faster, had more"fun stuff" extras and better menus. Now that HD is gone, the BluRay folks finally got busy and their menus are on par with what HD began with.
Current totals: 45 HD-DVD 391 BluRay | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |

My first Blu-ray was Planet Earth, which nicely showed of the amazing images that can be achieved. The first actual movie was Starship Troopers (UK release). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
