I don't go to the actual stores this time of the year unless I have absolutely no choice in the matter. Same here. I really can't stand the rabid crowds. I'd much actually rather pay a few dollars more online than stepping foot in a Wal-Mart (or similar) store now. | | | Corey |

They were out of The Mummy movie, Hellboy II, G.I. Joe, Star Trek, 17 Again, Year One. In fact they were fairly picked over.
I managed to snag a few deals. $2 each Blazing Saddles Underworld Underworld Evolution The Marine: Unrated
$5 each Surf's Up Paul Blart Mall Cop
$9 Aliens in the Attic
They also had Gran Tarino for $5, but it was the Full Screen edition, so I passed.
It was a complete madhouse. I waited in the checkout line for 1 hour.
Last year wasn't too bad, but this year it was much, much more crowded. Never again. I don't even care if they have DVDs for $1, it's just not worth it. i went to walmart at about 6 am and wow i'll do all my shopping online next year it was a lot worse this year compared to last year...its not worth the stress anymore lol |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I don't know why it was so much worse this year.
Last year I was able to get what I wanted and checked out within 20 minutes.
What's making it worse at mine is that they are remodeling it and have large sections closed up. So perhaps that may have contributed to it. But I'm sure that it was much more crowded this year.
It was also bad because people were cutting in line and there was simply no management of the lines by the employees at all. People just formed their own lines.
I also went to Target in hopes to get some seasons of Supernatural, but they were already sold out by the time I got there. But I must say they had the lines better managed than Wal-Mart did. They had people in a long line and then when a checkout was ready for another customer they would tell the people which register to go to. Much better. |

But I'm sure that it was much more crowded this year. They remodeled this Wal-Mart Supercenter store last year. I don't know who chose the new colors for Wal-Mart, but they are U-G-L-Y. I've heard them called "Baby Poo" colors more than a few times. The outside of the store is a drab brown and biege, and the inside of the store has a gross looking mustard colored wall on the grocery side that is downright unappetizing. Quoting bigdaddyhorse: Quote: Goodfellas (7.99) I almost ordered that yesterday, but I think I'll just wait for the 20th Anniversary "digibook" Blu-ray being released in February and see. | | | Corey |

Just out of curiosity, did you ask anyone or just look on the shelf for those? The reason I'm asking is because I had several seasons of Supernatural come back as returns at my Target, and they didn't have a physical spot on the floor, so I sent them back to the stockroom. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

Oh snap, I didn't know about that digi-book coming soon, which looks like 2 discs so it should have new and exicting goodies. Just in time to cancell the current one, thanks for the heads up. Went looking and found some info about the 20th Goodfellas. Hopefully it will get a new transfer from what I've read about the old, but it looks like new probably just new packing and a bonus dvd that already exists: http://www.getthebigpicture.net/blog/2009/10/27/goodfellas-20th-anniversary-blu-ray-art-and-details.html http://www.blurayfreak.com/2009/10/new-20th-anniversary-goodfellas-bluray-for-2010.html At least I don't have and haven't seen the doc. dvd. I'll hold off for it with hopes of a better looking movie as well. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |
