| Posted: | | | | Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 3 - AmendsAs the Christmas Holiday approaches, Angel is tormented by his past victims, including Jenny Calendar, who want him to kill Buffy. My Thoughts:This is the one and only Christmas episode of Buffy. And then it really is just a backdrop... not really part of the storyline that much. Though it is a good episode... flashbacks from the old days shows us some Angelus. Who gets a visit from Jenny Calendar... or so he thinks. My Rating: 4/5 Totals:Christmas Movies: 1 Christmas Episodes: 6 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | The Dead Zone: Season 4 - A Very Dead Zone ChristmasWhen female psychic Alex Sinclair (Jeniffer Finnigan) pays Johnny (Anthony Michael Hall) a surprise Christmas visit, the two work together to solve the mystery of one very lost and confused Santa. My Thoughts:I liked how they did this Christmas episode.Though it does run a little shorter then a normal episode... clocking in at 40min.This one had 2 side stories... the lost and confused Santa... as well as the orphaned brothers. And of course... being a Christmas episode it had to have happy endings for both storylines. My Rating: 3.5/5 Totals:Christmas Movies: 1 Christmas Episodes: 7 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Scrooge (aka A Christmas Carol) My Thoughts: Of all the adaptations of Dickens' famous novel that I have seen, this one from 1951 is the most true to its source, and the best. As compared to the other versions I especially like that this version includes so many more scenes, especially with the Ghost of Christmas Past. Alastair Sim is simply brilliant as Scrooge, and looks the part exactly as I always envisioned him in the story. Also on the same disc is the Max Fleischer "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" short cartoon from 1948, which is delightful. Apparently this is the last cartoon Fleischer produced. The art is absolutely beautiful and the character designs charming. A lovely extra feature I shall be sure to watch every year from now on. My Rating: 4/5 (an excellent film) Totals:Christmas Movies: 2 Christmas Shorts: 2 Christmas Episodes: 2 | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

| Posted: | | | | Santa's SlayIt turns out that Santa Claus is not really the sweet old fellow that we all know and love. In fact, he's a devil and the only thing that's kept his bad side in check was a bet he lost with an angel. After 1,000 years of playing nice, the bet is up and Santa is about to open up a can of holiday whoop-ass! The only glimmer of hope comes from an old man with a secret, his grandson and his girlfriend. Brace yourself for one really bad Santa, bent on spreading holiday fear!My Thoughts:I watched this Christmas Comedy Horror on FEARnet On-Demand first thing this morning. It is one that while not the most intelligent thing in the world does have something about it that is entertaining at the same time. Not a movie I would call good... but definitely mindless fun. This is one of those odd situations that I wholeheartedly know is a bad movie... but I still enjoyed it for some masochistic reason. I got a kick out of seeing Robert Culp as the angel that transformed himself into an old man to win a bet to make this Christmas demon into the Santa everyone in the world known and loved for the past 1000 years. I also liked the teen's girlfriend in this played by Emile de Raven. And I definitely got a kick out of the opening scene where we see Fran Dreschler get killed off. While I can't (and would never) recommend this movie to someone else... it is one I am tempted to add to my collection to watch during the Holiday season. | Posted: | | | | I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie BrownRerun, the youngest brother of Linus & Lucy, only wants a dog for Christmas. When Snoopy's brother Spike comes to visit, can Rerun convince his mom to let him stay?My Thoughts: While nowhere near as charming as A Charlie Brown Christmas, this was still a cute cartoon and I can easily see watching it again next year. It's flaw is that it is a product of its time, having been made in 2003 it has all sorts of modern touches and references that jar out of place in a Peanuts cartoon. | Posted: | | | | Ben 10: Season 3 - Merry ChristmasBen, Grandpa Max, and Gwen come upon a bizarre Christmas theme park run by an evil entity who thinks Grandpa Max is Santa Claus and proceeds to trap him. What will this lead to? And can Ben save the day one more time?My Thoughts:Brittany wanted me to watch one of her Christmas episodes with her. So when I told her to go pick something out... this is what she came back with. It is a pretty good cartoon Christmas episode. Even if it does take place in the middle of the summer. Screaming, clawing victims of the Anti Claus, a pagan god with an unjolly thirst for blood. | Posted: | | | | Black ChristmasThe college town of Bedford is receiving an unwelcome guest this Christmas. As the residents of sorority house Pi Kappa Sig prepare for the festive season, a demonic stranger begins to stalk the house. A series of grisly obscene phone-calls start to plague the residents of the sorority and soon they will each meet their fate at the hands of the psychotic intruder. As the Police try to trace the phone calls, they discover that nothing is as it seems during this BLACK CHRISTMAS. Starring Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder, Andrea Martin and John Saxon. Bob Clark's Black Christmas predates Halloween by 4 years and is now widely acknowledged as the inventor of the modern slasher film. My Thoughts:I first seen this movie only 2 short months ago when I bought a copy for my Halloween marathon. And I already felt I needed to watch it again. I once again found myself glued to my seat watching through-out the entire movie. It was pretty cool to see Margot Kidder in one of her earlier roles. And she happened to have my favorite kill in the movie. For those of you that don't like gore... there is no worries here. There is really no blood and gore. It is all left to the imagination. If you have never seen this movie... I highly recommend it. My Rating: 4.5/5 Totals:Christmas Movies: 3 Christmas Episodes: 9 | | | Pete |

Together they attempt to piece together the mystery of the child and the fate of her parents, even while the baby's arrival forces them to face their own pasts. My Thoughts: One of my favorite movies for this time of year. I didn't watch it last year and had forgotten just how funny it is, how touching and how relevant. Not to mention what a visual feast it is - absolutely gorgeous animation. Still a movie that moves me every time I watch it. | Posted: | | | | Square Pegs: Complete Series - A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WEEMAWEEAfter Lauren makes plans for them to crash all the popular holiday parties, Patty finds out she has to spend Christmas with her estranged dad. Lauren then has trouble getting into the holiday spirit without her around. My Thoughts:This was a fun watch... really brings me back since the time this series takes place in ('80s) is the same time I was in high school. And while this may be an extreme version of the type of kids from there... it is pretty accurate as I knew people in school just like many of the characters in this series. There was a lot of good comedy in this one... both Britt and I laughed more then once watching this episode My Rating: 4/5 Totals:Christmas Movies: 3 Christmas Episodes: 10 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Spectacular Spider Man: Season 2 - ReinforcementsMysterio and Kraven join the ranks of the Sinister Six (including Sandman, Rhino, Vulture and Electro) in an attempt to capture Spider-Man once and for all.My Thoughts:Brittany told me about this episode and asked if I wanted to watch it over at youtube. So we decided to check it out. And I have to admit... while I don't care for how they changed up some of the characters for this series (especially Kraven the Hunter) I really did enjoy this episode. Both Britt and found it so hilarious when Spidey was trying to banter with the Sinister Six but couldn't talk straight because he burnt his tongue on hot chocolate... we laughed so hard we couldn't hear much of what was being said. This is a Christmas episode... but Christmas really is just a backdrop of the episode... the storyline really has nothing to do with Christmas. But that is ok My Rating: 4/5 Totals:Christmas Movies: 3 Christmas Episodes: 11 | | | Pete |

Rudolph was the much-looked-forward to tradition of my childhood, but every one of them is very special. These are the films that take you back to the innocence and wonder of childhood (and the innocence of 1970). A delightful film for any child, or child-at-heart. Unfortunately, his suitcase posse doesn't quite share the same Christmas spirit—and the result is a one-of-a-kind live event unlike any yuletide celebration you've ever seen!Dunham whose first two television specials drew record ratings multimillion DVD sales and over 200 million views on websites worldwide, brings together all-new material and for the first time, original songs and stories guaranteed to become instant classics: from Achmed's "Jingle Bombs" to Bubba J's "Roadkill Christmas" to Peanut's version of "The Night Before Christmas."Destined to become a treasured holiday favorite! My Thoughts:OMG... I can not believe I never watched Jeff Dunham before today. This guy is just freaking hilarious! I really liked all his characters... my favorite is a toss-up between Achmed and Peanut. I watched this along with Britt... and let me tell you... I thought Britt was going to laugh so hard that she would pee herself! And she wasn't alone... I was laughing so hard I had to pause the show more then once just to be able to catch my breath and calm down so I could watch some more. I am going to definitely have to see what other Jeff Dunham DVDs are out there. Which surprises me... I wasn't expecting to like a ventriloquist as much as I liked this one. If you never checked this guy out before... I highly recommend it! Meanwhile, Brennan's father Max asks Margaret, a distant relative of Brennan's, to spend Christmas with him and Brennan. My Thoughts:As usual... a very good episode of Bones... I really enjoyed it. Bones' distant relative in this episode is played by real life sister Zoe Deschanel. Which I know of at least one person here on the forum is a fan of. I grew with it, and it still brings the warm feelings of happy childhood memories back home, with Mammy and Pap and fresh home-made cookies and the house down on the lake.
