When I went to see "Finding Neverland," My wife, daughter & I were the only ones in the theater. After the commercials, during the twenty minutes of trailers, five other people came in. First, two rows directly in front of us, were three people who decided to talk to each other throughout the entire film. Then two people came in, college age boy and girl. The girl sat directly behind me, the boy to her right, behind no one. They were fairly quiet, but after the film started, she would, about every ten minutes, kick the back of my seat so hard it would bounce me forward. After four kicks, I turned and glared at her. The kicking then took place every five minutes or so. After the seventh kick, I turned and asked her to please not kick my chair. Fifteen minutes later, it bagan again. I asked my daughter to move over a seat to her left, my wife to move next to her and I moved a seat to my left..

She kicked the seat to her left, and the two of them began talking about rude theater goers. As the credits rolled, the three people in front of us stood up and spent most of the credits blocking our view. The only thing missing was the dad telling the under-10 kid every line after it was spoken because the kid didn't listen.

They seek me out, determined to keep me from ever wanting to return.

The last cinematic theatrical experience I really enjoyed was seeing "Blow Up" the afternoon it opened at the theater in downtown Grass Valley. I was the only member of the audience.

After seeing the Extended Versions, I can't bring myself to watch them any other way. I will have to settle for the DVDs until they decide to release them on Blu-ray.

I would guess the extended editions will come when The Hobbit is released in cinemas.

Actually, I too will own both, and thankfully, my signed by C. Lee DVD will be kept (Yes, I am showing off)

It is a series of films that most people thought would never be made as live action, but is (in my thinking) worth having (and replacing) as both versions - after all, I collect these damn discs 

There are sometimes I do hold off, e.g. I have the Bond Series on DVD, and when they brought out the "ultimate" editions, I held off, as I knew that eventually the BD version will appear - sometimes, it is worth the chance, sometimes, it isn't

As to seeing them in the Cinema? I was lucky, knew a guy that got us in to the staff screenings at the local multiplex - all fans! Volume at "11" and no trailers or adverts!!! (Or mobiles, or annoying kids, or... etc)

Mind you, I am mostly lucky, due to shift work, I end up going to the cinema at odd times during the week - as in not peak times - but mostly, I wait for the DVD/BD to come out, as it costs the same, and as Cliff said, you can pause to go the toilet

(On a side note, how is it, that I normally can go for 3 to 4 hours with out needing the rest room, yet as soon as I am in a cinema, I have to go within 30 mins??)

No extended editions no sale to me, I got the 'normal' and the longer versions on DVD., and the extended ones are WAY better. Cynical double dip to me, hope it backfires!
