| Posted: | | | | Kosvines: From what I learned at the Panasonic site, the old 3Ds will NOT work. The technology is totaly different from the industry standard. In essence the old systems split the image into two 956 X1080 images, while the new technology transmits a FullHD of 1920X1080 to each eye and requires the new 1.4HDMI to function. There's apretty good explanation here, watch the video. BTW it appears that the Samsung surprisingly enough does NOT come with any glasses with the purchase,as of now, I expect this will change by release to stores for competitive reasons. | Posted: | | | | There are several 3D standards for TVs. The same discs and players were work with all. It's not clear yet how much cross-compatibility the glasses will have. |

| Posted: | | | | It's a JVC DLA-HD750. Screen is a Carada 142 inch brilliant white, which is why the room had to be totally black - the JVC has just enough power to make it work. That's the real cost of going 3D for a front projector system - halving the brightness. I'll need to double the projector's brightness just to match this one if I ever make the move to 3D. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |
