| Posted: | | | | I'm simply not interested in the theatrical versions. I'll gladly wait for the Extended Blu-rays...however long it takes. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Like I said, here in Austria you can buy them at biggest chain of europe. Every one of their stores, of which there are plenty, already have to sell. For 60€ ($81 ) .. But after looking at the poll and your answers there are a few people out there who actually like the theatrical cuts.. But a overwhelming majority is going to wait for the EE release. So effectively a few other people might buy it because they don't know about EE and Standard.. But people who own a Blu Ray Player an pay a lot for their discs usually are well informed.. So I actually think, that we, when not buying the release, are actually contributing to them releasing the EE even sooner.. Because I think that the sales will be far below what Warner might have estimated.. PS: The price of 60€ isn't even that hight for German/Austrian standards.. At amazon it's still 55€ ($74,50)
Of course it's cheaper to buy them in the uk where the cost 39,95 GBP which is ($60)
That's still a lot for all the people who don't realy care for that edition anyway.. | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder | | | Last edited: by stephan.klose |

| Posted: | | | | Hold on you guys. Read the news here before pre-ordering: Lord of the Rings Trilogy Limited Extended Blu-ray Beckons. After having read everything and thinking for a while, I am more worried and concerned than happy and I will definitely wait for final specifications and reviews. So I'm not pre-ordering. |

I read it and I'm not sure what you are worried or concerned about? The fact that a proper release date hasn't been determined? Or the possibility that the extras are on DVD only? Neither of these bother me much... | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. You've got questions? You've got answers? Or the possibility that the extras are on DVD only? Neither of these bother me much... Well among other things that there are 9 DVD's included with extras. That signals to me that there's a risk that they haven't cared at all when restoring the film. It's just a gut feeling that I have. In my strong opinion the last release on BD for LOTR was nothing but an unforgivable disaster. If they can't give these movies a spectacular release, then what? It's not at all too much to ask that everything about should get the highest grades. Otherwise, screw them! There are millions of fans and these movies were real blockbusters, etc, etc. The pressure is ON and they should feel it. They should be sweating. Instead, they tell us that we will get 9 friggin, crappy DVD discs. Probably SD material of extras that I and thousands others already own on the Extended DVD releases. Where's the passion and respect?! I'm not just jumping to conclusions, because I have seen it before on many other important titles. Therefor I see it that there may be a reason to worry. I simply don't trust the movie companies any more. | | | Last edited: by MikaLove |

I do not care at all about further bonus materials and don't expect that they shot Behind The Scenes in HD in 1999, I do not care about fancy cases, toy figures, booklets, limited postcards or similar junk. But something other than a spectacular picture and sound quality of the extended feature films would be a great disappointment. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played.
