In regards to Geek Squad, there I agree. I never used them but one time I had a problem with a wireless adapter so I called and they couldn't get out there for like two weeks or something insane. I called a local repair place who could be there within two days. I ended up fixing the problem myself but don't bother with GS, that service is bad from my limited experience.

"Await the Soderbergh" = "I'm not into heavy metal, bs means beats, but await Out of Sight 1998 directed by Steven Soderbergh on B-rD scheduled for March 17, the DVD releases hitherto here were not even anamorphic, so I do not own the movie yet which I very much regret"

I guess so () because I've had basically the same experience there since they opened several years ago (with maybe one or two exceptions). In fact, I remember the one and only time I shopped there on Black Friday (don't like the crowds so don't do it anymore) I was standing in line with items and forgot something and one of the employees actually went and brought it to me...

Seems I live in the same Twilight Zone as you as I have nothing bad to say about my BB store.  The only time I have had issues is when I went shopping on Christmas Eve...stupid I know...and that was just because the store was busy.  I have gotten coupons honored, that had expired, got an upgraded laptop because they accidentally sent me an email, stating my on-line order was ready to be picked up, when they had actually ran out of them.  I will admit that the salesman wasn't sure what to do, but the manager didn't hesitate one bit.

This is exactly why I HATE Best Buy:

I went back up to the store earlier to see if they could order The Last House on the Left Blu-ray. I asked an employee if they had any.

"Sure, we have a whole bunch on them. I'll go get you one, be right back!"

I wait a good 10 minutes before I ever see the guy again. Then he tells me "Sorry, but we are apparently out of stock"

And then I see a guy that I know personally who works there part-time. I asked him, and he just rolled his eyes at these idiots. He came back in 2 minutes and had the Blu-ray. He said they definitely had them in stock yesterday, when they incorrectly told me they didn't even get any in stock for this store.

So, I had to make another trip just because of their employee's utter incompetence.

What you have described has happened to me, several times and at many different stores.

It's unfortunate, but mistakes happen...especially in the retail industry.  As someone who has worked in the food service and retail industry, and have seen my employees berated by customers because they made a mistake, I often ask myself whether or not that person is held to the same standard at their job and, if they are, wonder what it must be like to never make a mistake.

Please note, that last bit was not aimed at you.  It is a question I have asked myself, many times over the years.
