I'm no expert on these things, but could the iphone/ipad version not be adapted to run on a mac? I would have thought the programming would be similar at least.

Especially since Lion is bringing a lot of the functionality of iOS to Mac OSX.

What is your opinion ?
Yes we NEED a native Mac OSX Version

As long as Apple doesn't support Blu-ray at all you won't get DVD Profiler.
Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect]

I don't see the report between the support of Blu-ray by Apple and DVD Profiler. You don't need Blu-ray drive to use DVD Profiler...

Short and sweet.

I have been using PCs at home for over 30 years and Macs at work for over 20 years and love both. They will both essentially do the same thing. Neither one is a toy. I can use files from either platform on the other. I have a PC at home because of the flexibility and upgradability whereas the Mac is a very stable platform for the graphic and general desktop work. I'm an IT guy for both and work in the Advertising industry.

So, let's not get into the PC vs Mac debate.

P.S. I would absolutely love to be able to run DVDP on my Mac, but without running other software or a virtual environment that's not possible. However, it can be done, if you're willing to spend the money and time to get it right.

I have a Mac notebook, which I use all the time, as my main computer. I also have a windows pc, the only thing I use it for is DVD Profiler, so I would love a Mac version, but am not holding me breath!

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Total MarketShare (Desktop)

Total Market Share (Desktop and Mobile OS combined)

(Data from May 2012 (Germany))

OSX is a niche market.
Developing a product for this can be considered to be commercial suicide.

EDIT: Let's be optimistic and assume that 1% of the MacOS users may be interested in this product and that 10% of those would actually buy it. How many may that be? Worldwide? 1000? 10,000?

How much would a license have to be to only pay back the development costs (not to mention the license fees for Apple)?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

According to statistics the market share is still shrinking:
April 2012: 92,49 %
Februar 2013: only 91,62 %
In contrast the proportion of MacOSX grows:
April 2012: 6,53 %
Februar 2013: 7,17 %
Source: http://www.netmarketshare.com
If this continues, MaxOSX will obtain Windows soon. Then we will have a more beautiful computer world
But an alternative to DVD-Profiler exists:
