Rory What branch did you serve in? U.S. Army Special Forces/SpecialOps. (21 years worth.)
Rory I am guessing you had a lot of classified missions. Delta Force, Rangers, Night Stalkers or Green Berets? | | | Last edited: by yodagreensaber |

I heard Discovery is going to a museum. Don't know which one. It's likely that they'll all go to museums or something... Smithsonian in Washington DC is what I heard. I read that too. It will be joining Enterprise, which is already there. Enterprise was the first shuttle, built for flight tests, but never flew in space.
I also read, not sure if was true or not, that they were also willing to give away the other shuttles too for no cost. The catch: you have to provide transportation and all engine components would be stripped out. CNN has said the Smithsonian is getting Discovery because it's the most decorated shuttle and completed the most missions and that the aviation museum in Ohio(Dont remeber name) will get Endeavor or Atlantis. Don't remember what they said for the third shuttle. |

I was in The 5th Special Forces Group (Green Beret)(In Vietnam '69-'72), 173rd Airborne BDE ("68-'69) and 7th SFG ('75-'80). | Posted: | | | | On the news this morning, they said Enterprise will be installed next year at the Intrepid museum here in New York. I look forward to taking my son to see it! |
