Superman Short:

The Iron Eater
A shapeshifting alien creature that emerged from a fallen meteorite who devours metal structures raises havoc.

My Thoughts:
This one I actually enjoyed a bit more then the previous couple of shorts. I enjoyed the little story... and this time it felt like the short length didn't hurt it any. Though I do think they got a little on the lazy side when it came to designing the creature.

My Thoughts:
This is my second time watching this one since I got it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I liked how they had so many heroes and villains from the DC Universe. Some of which I was familiar with... some I was not. I was originally a little concerned when I read the storyline and seen they made Lex Luthor president. But I found the story to be very entertaining. I am not sure if this one is based on a series of the comic books or not as I don't read comics... so I can't say how or if it compares. But if you like some of the other superhero animated movies out there... I would recommend this one as well.

Most of the Superman/batman movies are arcs from the comic book.

They did a fairly solid job on the move from comic to movie.

Superman Short:

The Ape Army of the Amazon
In South America, an exiled military officer named Colonel Vasta and a disgraced scientist named Dr. Rucas control apes with the transmitter on Dr. Rucas' back in a plot to rob an underground treasure.

My Thoughts:
What to say about this one? It isn't a bad one. More an average fair. It isn't bad enough to disappoint... but it isn't special enough to be very memorable.

Which version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker are you going to watch? I hope it's the original, uncut version.

This is the version I have...

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

Region 1

Released: 10/24/2000

Full Frame 1.33

It don't say anything about being uncut and the running time is listed at 76min long. So I am guessing it is the cut version?

This is the one I recommend:
Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker: The Original, Uncut Version

All Regions

Released: 4/23/2002

Widescreen 1.78:1

It's a little more violent and it's rated PG-13, so there are few scenes that different, but they pertain to the Joker. Just wish the video was anamorphic, so I'm hoping the Blu-ray release next month has that fixed.
We're on a mission from God.

My Thoughts:
I got this through Amazon Marketplace very cheap. After watching it I feel like I got a heck of a deal... because I enjoyed every minute of it!  I was never familiar with The Avengers... but always liked both Captain America and Iron Man. But before this movie I never even heard of a few of them (Wasp, Giant Man & Black Widow). I really enjoyed seeing the team get together. I did get a kick out of the line where after seeing Thor, Giant Man asks "Who's the chick with the hammer" and Iron Man adds... "Whoever she is... I'm glad she is on our side"

Superman Short:

The Fire Phantom
A living flame from Earth's core appears and sets off a mammoth forest fire.

My Thoughts:
Once again.. while not terrible... I wasn't very impressed here. There is some things I liked about it. Others that not so much. But the end when Jimmy asks Superman what the fire creature was... and he told him the same thing the narrator told us at the beginning of the short.. it was like he was in the tent asleep (camping trip)... how in the world could he know that. Sometimes I miss the acceptance of youth. Some of these are not holding up to my childhood memories. YEt others are making me feel like a kid again when I watch them.

My Thoughts:
Doctor Strange has a different feel then most Marvel animated movies. But it isn't a bad thing... just different. Before this movie I really didn't know much about the character other then seeing him in an episode or two of the Spider-Man cartoons. It is an interesting and entertaining story. I would definitely like to see more on this character. I will say though... this is my third time watching this movie. And I don't feel the re-watch value of this one is up there as much as the previous ones I have watched. I don't want to say I got bored with it... but some of the slower scenes didn't interest me as much this time around as the first time seeing it.

Superman Short:

The Deadly Dish
Lex Luthor traps Lois, Jimmy, and Perry White so he can lure Superman into range of a Kryptonite Transmitter.

My Thoughts:
Now this one I really enjoyed. It definitely brought me back and lived up to my childhood memories. I guess with him going up against Lex Luthor it was bound to be a good one. I also liked seeing more of Perry White in this one then we normally see in these shorts.
