MOD?
Made on Demand. A burnt disc instead of pressed. Got you. In other words a rip off in the long run. |

Got you. In other words a rip off in the long run. I wasn't going to say it, but since you did... The consolation is I don't believe there has ever been a pressed disc release of this film. You got MGM, Columbia and Warner all doing MODs now, so you have to pay attention if this is something that bothers you. |

Even if it is a MOD disc it doesn't bother me as long as the quality is ok since I'll copy it anyway so I can play it on R2 players. And as you say, this is the only time I've ever seen the film on sale. | | | Paul |

So I've purchased that..
For 12.99? it's about that price - I had to use $ since I had a $8 gift voucher I wanted to use. | | | Paul |

And as you say, this is the only time I've ever seen the film on sale. Most of these MOD discs are region free. IMO, MOD discs are a good thing as it gives people a chance to own films that probably won't be financially viable as a fully released pressed title. They need to pull the prices down though as there are some I want but priced too high right now when I factor in shipping and possible customs fees! |

| Posted: | | | | I like to get a copy of the George C Scott film Rage. Available only through Warner Archive Collection though. Strange would have thought there was enough interest in it to warrant a general release. |

So perhaps not MOD.. | | | Paul |

this is shown as R1 only.. with only 3 in stock. So perhaps not MOD.. Al Warner Archive releases have region coding to. What does it matter any way if you can store the film on your computer. You still have a way to ensure you get enough longevity out of it. |

Every review of a Warner Archive release at DVDBeaver states they are region free. Just when i seen them on Amazon they stated there region 1. I imagine then that's just some generic disclaimer they use for all foreign imports, to ensure customers don't try and complain about compatibility issues. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

| Posted: | | | | On the bright side of the MOD program, all the reviews I've checked have great new transfers. This one smokes the old dvd! (Oops, I mean the old dvd-r, re-read a bit closer) I'd definitly "back-up" the files if I end up buying any of these, trying to wait for good sale as it's ahrd to justify that much $ for a burn, even if high-qaulity. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |
